This is a poem I wrote for my sisters.

I Was Always

I was always the one with her through thick and thin
I was always the one to be her friend til the end
I was always the one to stick by her side
I was always the one to cheer her up inside
I was always the one who told her she could call me no matter what
I was always the one to talk to her even if she was drunk
I was always the one to tell her I loved her
I was always the one to show her I really did care
I was always the one to tell her goodnight
I was always the one to tell her everything was going to be alright
I was always and will always be the one.
