day 3, maybe we might have a breakthru

Postby Honey girl » Mon Sep 24, 2012 1:36 am

last night was a hard one for me. i waited and waited till 8pm and still no call from the hubby so i decided to text him to find out if anything had changed with the mom's status and he replied "no". he tells me to pray for his mom and pretty much said bye after that. I'm like HUH? did i just miss something? i called him and asked what's up, why no call from you today? i was so upset. he doesnt check on us, he doesnt really update us, I'm still in the dark about when he'll be home, etc. Why does he shut me out, exclude me from his life. he never talks things over with me or ask my opinion. i thought we were partners, apparently a one sided partnership. there was lots of crying on my part and the only thing to come out of his mouth was, I'm sorry, over and over again. but i've heard it before. he goes away a lot for his job and he always acts as though he is a single man. i get jealous of him, i'm not going to lie. he gets to go to different countries like japan, korea, thailand, etc. and where do i go? no where, why? cause i have to stay home and take care of our boys. i feel so overworked and burnt out. I have a outside of the home part time job and i take care of the family and house. I dont get vacations. i know, i know, lots of women do that, so whats the big deal right? well, i just wish the roles could be reversed once in a while. (sorry just needed to complain & vent out my frustrations) CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY!!!! lol So my break thru was that i got to confront him and let everything that i was holding in out, it felt so good and relieved some of the pressure from being so angry and frustrated with him. i just pray things will change!

Hello Honey Girl, :)

God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

I understand how we can become overwhelmed by thoughts, especially those negative thoughts, and then have those negative thoughts influence us in our present and future endeavors, etc. It's tough, huh?

Right now, your husband is going through a great challenge, unlike the every day challenges. As an adult, when our parent(s) have something happen to them, like an heart attack, it is not unusual at all for the adult child to feel like an helpless child -- having them go inside themselves looking for comfort, and it "appearing", to others, that they are neglecting their current adult responsibilities. And, unfortunately, the enemy of our souls is using and adding to the challenge, by attacking you, where he knows will hurt most, and that is for you to feel abandoned.

The 14 Day Christian Counseling Study / CCCC Study will help you learn to overcome those negative thoughts thrown at you by Satan, and will also help you get to know The Lord better, because the Study is Holy Spirit inspired and it leans heavily on The Word of God / The Bible / The Truth / Jesus. :)

I noticed you have not mentioned the study in your 3 journal posts, so I'm posting the link to the Study, just in case: http://www.christianityoasis.com/CCCC/Forum.htm

This study is such a blessing and it has helped hundreds, if not thousands, in building a closer relationship with their Maker and Creator: God Almighty. I really encourage you to read the study and to apply it to your every day life, and even to this current challenge. Honey Girl, The Lord loves you so very much, and He truly desires that you get to know Him and lean on Him. This life is very hard and sometimes feels impossible, but with God, all things are possible. :)

Prayers are rising to our Lord in the name of Jesus, on your behalf, and on behalf of your husband, and your two sons, as well as your mother-in-law. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

thank you sister Mack for the kind words. the study that you're referring to is it the 14 day healing path? if so, i have been reading them. that's the only thing so far that i have read. my situation is very unfortunate, especially the timing. but it has been a long time coming, this problem between my spouse and i is not new by any means. it has been growing and brewing for years, and like i said very unfortunate that it came to a head at this very time when his mother is in the hospital. that is why i am here, trying to "let go & let God" thank you again for your words and prayers. update: his mother is starting to show some positive changes after a week of nothing, so something is at least going in the right direction. thank you Jesus!
