A ringing phone woke me from my nap today. Groggily, I answered it, to find there was an American Cancer Society volunteer on the line.

I wasn't mentally tracking well yet, and she droned on about some program where they show you how to apply make up.

She said the cosmetics come in a case.

She asked me what color I'd like.

I said: "Green." (My favorite color)

She laughed and said: "I'm sorry, I always forget to tell people the shades of make up I'm talking about. Would you like light, for fair complexions . . ."

I had a brief mental image of Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz" with her bright green face, and had to laugh also.

I'm glad to have made someone laugh today.

rofl rofl green..oh Pamela..that was classic!!!

your posts remind me so much of a few years ago when i was taking my uncle for his chemo treatments. did they offer you OJ too?? In those long hours we were able to share so many things. Things we had never talked about before. Things he wanted me to know..(he was more like my dad than uncle and we shared the same birth date!!) Sis, the cancer never got him..the Lord had him just as He has you. You are so inspiring to me. Your faith makes my heart sing. Green, yellow, or purple, you are beautiful. (wonder if she will send you green eye-shadow now rofl)

i love you, sis. You have no idea how much you lift my spirit.

In Jesus,
love momo *Pray*

Hi, momo!

I'm so happy our Lord seems to be using me in all this cancer/chemo situation. May it bring glory, honor, and praise to Him.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Sunday I accompanied a friend to church. It was a glorious service!

Afterward, though . . . I began to feel very physically and emotionally exhausted and depressed. It was a long, lonely day and night.

Today, God answered my prayer!

I have felt unusually good today!

This morning, I got an odd craving for a McDonald's Egg McMuffin, so once I'd determined that dizziness was not a problem, I drove to McD's.

It was SO GOOD to drive again! I've been having dizziness so bad, I haven't driven in weeks!

Then, at lunchtime, a friend brought me a chicken bowl with rice and veggies, which was delicious.

I walked over to her apartment (in the same complex as mine) and gave her a couple of things she needed. We had a nice visit.

I have taken two naps today.

I've also had 4 or 5 nosebleeds today. This is a side effect of chemo.

It is nearly 6 PM, and I still feel so good!

Thank You, Lord Jesus!

I am thankful for . . .

God answering so many prayers of my brothers and sisters in Christ on this forum;

Having had a wonderful day today;

Not having to see my surgeon again until chemo is finished in November;

A friend helping me today with my medical appointment;

Being invited by a friend to her daughter's third grade school play;

Friends coming over tomorrow to clean my apartment and grocery shop for me;

God's love and forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and so much more!

Love and hugs to everyone----------

I am thankful that God has made it possible for me to become a published author in 2010.

My book of short stories and poetry will be a dream come true! I'm so happy and excited about this!

Thank You, Lord Jesus!

Oh Pamela you are so blessed.

Your attitude of seeking the good amongst the bad is truely a gift.

Stay strong. Keep on keeping on. And don't ever feel you are doing this all alone. We're right beside you.

Love you *hug*
