When our son Brian was small, I took him with me to pick up our babysitter. As I approached the house, I noticed that her dog, usually penned in the backyard, was lying on the front porch. At first glance, the dog looked benign. But to my alarm he sprang to his feet and attacked Brian, who leaped for my leg, shinnied up to my waist, and somehow ended up wrapped around my neck and shoulders.
I, on the other hand, was left to fend off the dog. We danced for a while__ the dog trying to get in a bite and I a kick__until, to my relief, the owner came around the house and called off the beast, All of us__dog, boy, and I__escaped unscathed.
Later, as we were walking to the car, Brian looked up to me and said, "Dad, I'll go anywhere with you." His confidence was misplaced; I can fail him. But I often think of his words when I grapple with fear.
As Moses faced uncertain circumstances, he implored God, "Show me now Your way....that I may find grace in Your sight" (Ex. 33:13). The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you" (v.14).
Whenever we enter frightening circumstances or face furious assaults, we can say with confidence, "Lord, I'll go anywhere with You." __David Roper

You need not fear where you're going
when God is going with you.
***************Today's Bible Reading __ Exodus 33:12-17**********
12 Then Moses said to the
LORD, "See, You say to me,
'Bring up this people.' But
You have not let me know
whom You will send with
me. Yet You have said, 'I
know you by name, and you
have also found grace in My
sight,' 13 Now therefore, I
pray, if I have found grace
in Your sight, show me now
Your way, that I may know
You and that I may find
grace in Your sight. And
consider that this nation is
Your people." 14 And He
said, "My Presence will go
with you, and I will give
you rest." 15 Then he said to Him, 'If
Your Presence does not go
with us, do not bring us up
from here. 16 For how then
will it be known that Your
people and I have found
grace in Your sight, except
You go with us? So we
shall be separate, Your
people and I, from all the
people who are upon the
face of theearth."
17 So the LORD said to
Moses, "I will also do this
thing that you have spoken;
for you have found grace in
My sight, and I know you
by name."

The events of Exodus 33 follow one of the most tragic episodes in
the Old Testament. No sooner had Moses returned from Sinai, where
he had received the laws of God for His people, than he discovered
the people violating one of those laws. While Moses was on the
mountain, the people (with Aaron's help) had crafted a golden calf__
and idol__in direct viiolation of the second commandment (Ex. 20:4),
a prohibition against idols. The sad cost of this act of false worship
was a time of serious chastening from the Lord. __WEC

I love the examples in this scripture reading, and Moses' faith -- strong enough and bold enough to say to God that if He didn't go with Moses, then Moses was going to stay put. Wow!
We live under a different covenant, we have the indwelling of The Holy Spirit and where we go He goes -- right? Wellllllllll, sorta. In relationship with Him, we should ask Him, shouldn't we? I have to admit, sometimes I forget to ask Him. I go about, doing what seems I should be doing, and then ask Him how He's doing.
I pray to do better, I pray He reminds me to ask Him. I don't know that I want to go on auto-pilot, and just assume He's doing. That's not a relationship either. Besides, I like talking with Him.
Yes Lord, I'll go anywhere with You, please help me remember.
