Change

Postby Mokie » Sat Aug 08, 2009 9:15 pm

Hello. Just wondering if I could write some words. I dont' want to bother anyone. Just want to write some words..... :(

My favorite cousin in the whole world mentioned this afternoon "her man" wants to get married by December. (oh, by the way we live about 2,000 miles apart) I was very surprised. It bothers me that they have only known each other a few months and now they are talking marriage. *GlompLove*

Its just.....my cousin and I would talk for hours *OnPhone* on the phone couple times a week. Now she barely calls at all. She does this everytime she meets a guy. She gets all gaga over him and I dont' exhist. Feel like I'm loosing my best friend.

I texted her how I felt and she says "I'm not loosing her. Wrong ans. I'm gaining a friend"....whatever. I'm not good with change and I know I should be happy for her. I do wish her peace and happiness in life.

This man is much older then her. he's 55 and shes 28. such an age difference I think but my parents were 20 years apart as well.

well, I don't know what I want to say. thanks for reading. sorry to have taken up space.... *Cryin*

awww mokie *hug* u never just take up space. I am sorry u are hurting over not speaking with your cousin as much. Sometimes people just get caught up in their own lives. It sounds like she loves you very much even though you may not be speaking as much. What is it about her getting married that worries you so? Because she has known him only a short time or because he is older, is it maybe because you haven't met him? Or does she have a habit of falling for the wrong guy and you are worried for her? Please feel free to write any time you need, that is why the forums are here. I *Pray* you will feel God's comfort in this situation and GWBD!!

Goldieluvs....what worries me is everything you mentioned.

and I dont' think I mentioned this but she wants me to be her Maid of Honor. I dont' know anything about being a maid of honor....I dont know. Guess I'm making more out of this then I need to but thats the way I am. I live with depression and borderline personality disorder so any little change really bothers me. (YES...i've been in therphy, taking meds....all that jazz)

awwww sis *hug* have u tried talking with your cousin about your fears? Change is always hard even good changes cause stress. Maybe she could bring him out for a visit so you can get a chance to get to know him or maybe you could go visit them. Ultimately u cannot change another person. Pray for your cousin that God's will be done. I too have a tendency to worry about stuff, in the end, i have realized i have no control over other people. I just have to pray for them, try to be supportive and loving without compromising my beliefs, speak truth in love (God's truth, not what i think should be done cuz sometimes its different) and leave it in God's hands. I will keep you and urs in *Pray* so that you may all reach an understanding and God's Perfect Will Be Done. Keep us posted on how u r doing. Awww maid of honor. I am not married, never have been but it certainly sounds like you are an important part of her life and she wants you to share in her special moment. Maybe google maid of honor?? And you love her no matter what and that is an important thing to let her know. GWBD!
