learning and practicing

Postby goldieluvs » Sun Jan 04, 2009 2:02 pm

The past few days have presented multiple challenges where i have been filled with self doubt, about who i am, my walk, and feeling very unworthy and sad. I am learning that i gotta practice leaving the negatives behind, to trust in God. Its not always easy,as i am used to old ways. I am learning as I give myself over more and more to God that He shines through and shows me ways that I am not bad or stupid or incapable of doing things. I think this is going to be an ongoing process. Rewriting old tapes in my head so to speak. I still fall alot, more than i want to. But I am learning when i fall, to go back and apologize and try to walk with the Lord. Leaning on God, i need to learn to do that more. God's love just amazes me. So, i think the key is to not give up, to keep learning and practicing and listening to God instead of the old tapes.

Hello Goldieluv *hug*

God bless you, sweet Goldieluv.

As I read your post, I was reminded of an old song by Three Dog Night, entitled "One is the Loneliest Number" -- I put the lyrics down below.

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one

No is the saddest experience you'll ever know
Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know
`Cause one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
One is the loneliest number, worse than two

It's just no good anymore since she/He went away
Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

One is the loneliest, number one is the loneliest
Number one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
One is the loneliest, one is the loneliest
One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
It's just no good anymore since she/He went away
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest
(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

The song reminds me somewhat of Ecclesiastes. There is this thing between the earth realm and spirit realm, and sometimes we get confused. God is always with us, but in the sadness, in the trials, sometimes it feels like He's not with us and we begin to sing songs of yesterday (dwell in the emotions of our old life, those old familiar reactions and doubts).

Good News, Goldie -- you know The Saviour. Push through and past those trials in Faith. He's right there with you. When you cry, He's right there with you. He'll not only meet you on the other side, but He's walking right there with you, through it all.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

God bless you, Goldie.
Love,
Mack

Hi my singing sister *hug5*

Amen. Sometimes the whispers of the enemy, and whispers of the world, can cause us to lose sight of the Truth. Somedays are just plain icky.

But we keep our eyes focused on the big picture at all times, while taking one step at a time towards the finish line.

I remember reading this in a book a while back

PBPWMGISWOM:Please be patient with me, God is still working on me

We must be patient too, knowing that God will complete in us what He has started, if we just remain in Him, in faith.

Keep fighting the good fight my golderson :)

I luv u to bits!

Hey, Goldie! God bless you, sis. I am right where you are. I fall, feel guilty and and unworthy, God picks me back up again, dusts me off, and sets me right. Praise Him for His gracious forgiveness!

You have grown so much since you came to Oasis. You are stronger and more mature spiritually. As time goes on, you will only become stronger and wiser. You will learn to listen to the right voices and make the right choices. He will be with you the whole way...teaching, encouraging, and loving you.

Keep your eyes on the prize.. *JesusSign*

Love you, Goldie!

Hi, my Oasis sisters *hug*

my Aunt gave this little card to me the other day. Dont know if any of you have heard this before, but wow! what truth there is in the words..

My name is I Am

I was regretting the past
and fearing the future
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:

"My name is I Am"
He paused,

"When you live in the past
with it's mistakes and regrets,
it is hard. I am not there.
My name is not I WAS.

When you live in the future,
with it's problems and fears,
it's hard. I am not there.
My name is not I WILL BE

When you live in the moment,
it's not hard. I am Here.
My name is I AM

Goldie, sis...even though He is constant..the same yesterday, today and forever...He doesnt see you as you see you. He sees you as precious in His sight. He sees you as His child. And He sees your past no more. Love you guys.

in Jesus,
momo *Halo*

Ask God be willing

Postby --- » Sun Jan 18, 2009 1:08 pm

Ask God to let His peace rule in our hearts, seek peace and persue it.
Purpose in our hearts to do the right thing,LOVE.
Not always easy but when we practice these things forgiveness and understanding will come, especially when we stop looking at others faults and see where we could have been wrong or how we could have done things differently. And continue in prayer for one another that we may be healed. For we all know we are not alone God is always with us it is His comfort that holds us when no one else is around.
PSALMS 40:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

I know I am going to be tested on this I am every time I write a praise or encouraging word Lord I pray I pass the test lol.

song for you

Postby --- » Sun Jan 18, 2009 1:14 pm

Reminds me of a beautiful song by Fernando Ortega *saint*

Jesus, King of angels, heaven's light,
Shine Your face upon this house tonight.
Let no evil come into my dreams;
Light of heaven, keep me in Your peace.
Remind me how You made dark spirits flee, And spoke Your power to the raging sea.
And spoke Your mercy to a sinful man;
Remind me, Jesus, this is what I am.
The universe is vast beyond the stars,
But You are mindful when the sparrow falls, And mindful of the anxious thoughts That find me, surround me,
With all my heart I love You, Sovereign Lord.
Tomorrow, let me love You even more.
And rise to speak the goodness of Your name Until I close my eyes and sleep again.
Jesus, King of angels, heaven's light,
Hold my hand and keep me through this night.
