A glass bottle smashes into the wall
I have been there
Curse words, fighting, hitting
"Shut up!" "Don't you hit me!"
Parents yelling children crying
I have been there
The smell of alcohol and drugs
the feeling of someone where they shouldnt be
on a girl much too young
I have been there...

a little girl left crying
a phone by her side...
"911 what's your emergancy"...hang up
police men come one takes her hand
"I'm here for you, you are safe now"
I have been there...

Peace..
happiness
joy
recovery
in God's hands
this is where I'm at

I went through physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse as a child, the above is a poem I wrote recently and I hope it can give someone a glimmer of hope. I have PTSD and it took strength for me to type this out again... You see, even in the chains of abuse, there is someone who knows your struggles. Maybe not the same as yours but can understand the anger and hurt and emptyness inside. There is always someone willing to listen, to take your hand and walk with you. *JesusSign*

First off very well written, very intense.
Secondly I am so sorry to hear of some of the things you have been through, truly thats very sad and grieves my heart deeply. I am so sorry. Its very brave of you to say you have been there, but I am so very sorry to hear that you have..

Have you ever heart of a Lotus Flower? The Lotus grows in the muddy water of still ponds and lakes, The deeper the mud the more beautiful the bloom is =).

It starts by growing far away from the sun. But in time the Lotus reaches to the light becoming the most beautiful flower.
You remind of this flower.

Thankyou for writting this out and sharing with us, I am so happy you found this site, Praise God. Thankyou for your kind heart =).
You are a light in the darkness, truly you have testimony that is so powerful God is and will continue to use you. You are certainly a glimmer of hope. More like a bright Ray of hope very powerful and very bright.
