To the enemy

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

To the enemy

"You cannot steal me. I will not let you steal me or any part of me. You may have acted against me. You may hve hurt my body. But my soul, my mind and my attitudes are my own and you may not have them. They are mine and I will keep them. I will have the right to my own pleasure and my own decisions. You will not affect the rest of my life. If I let you affect the rest of my life, then I am vailidating what you did in a weird, misguided way. I am giving you more power than the power you had when you did what you did. And I refuse to do that. I am going to have what I would have had, and I am going to enjoy what I would have enjoyed. I will live the life I would have lived and you will not stop me. By doing this and being this then I have shrunk your importance. You are a pitiful human being and you are trying to exist by causing pain. Well, I will not give you that thing that you want. You want to exist and you want to have power and you want to cause lasting pain. And I will purposely not give you what you want. You have no power over me and I will not let the pain last. And I will not give you a place of importance in any part of my life. And anytime that you come to mind, I will make a positive action. I can do all things through Christ and he does NOT want this evil to prevail. I will NOT give glory to the enemy."

Sometimes people hear voices that are obviously not good voices. And they don't want to admit it because .... well, it's crazy. But what you need to do is to confront them and tell them that they are a liar and then start praising God. Evil voices are from the devil and the one thing the devil hates worst is praise to God. So, you praise God whenever you hear those voices and not only will they go away then (they will likely get louder for a little while and then they will go away) but they will come less and less often.

Have you ever had odd things happen, several in a row? Like you bump yourself when you haven't bumped yourself in weeks. And you get another bump that hurts worse? And then another one? I think those are from the devil also - and the way to make them stop is to praise God. Praise him more and more - and again, that badness will stop. You should do it out loud. If you can't do it where you are, then go to the bathroom and turn on the water and act like you are singing. But you need to do it - it is the only way I have found to make them go away. But it will.

There are a lot of things that are weird that we don't understand and so we are afraid to talk about it.

But remember - if it is bad, then the devil likes it. And the thing the devil hates worst is praising God. If you stub your toe and say a bad word - I think the devil laughs. So, I praise God three times as much as whatever bad word I said. (Sometimes bad words aren't cuss words, they are negative sentences. And sometimes both. rofl ) Anyway, it doesn't matter if you feel like it. It doesn't matter if you don't feel like you mean it at the moment - do it anyway. You will be amazed at the results.

On a related note - if I get an ache or pain, I think of someone with a similar ache or pain and pray for them. Now that might sound like it is just plain selfish. But, everybody wins. *Clap*
