Stepping Stone #6

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Stepping Stone #6

In stepping stone #6 of the Christianity Christian Counseling program, I learned that the soul is my mind and that whatever thoughts my mind has will make my flesh (body) and spirit obey; do as command. So therefore, I am to think on things that are good that will bring glory to God. This is the way to renew my mind. I also learned that idle time is not good because my idle time can be used to be about the Father's business; to glorify God in the Son Jesus Christ.

so therefore, as long as I am focused on God and things that glorify him, I will have a renewed mind. I won't be focused on my problem, but focused on the purpose that God has for my life to bring him all the glory.
