Grace

Here lately i have been dwelling on all that i do wrong, all the bad moves, all the wrong choices. A dear friend sent me something about Grace that really got me. So, as a result, and Lord i pray for strength to do so.

1. run from evil
2. resist the devil (those whispers that say you can do this and handle it; using that it; or that this isn't so bad or gonna hurt or whatever message is received as it is false )
3. i could read and try everything on my own and fail.
4. God's Grace if i take time to notice, helps me back on the right path.

I dunno if this is in 12 steps or not. I know a lot of people believe strongly in those steps, and i am not disputing those steps at all. Just wanted to share something i learned from someone who took the time to send me an email.

Hello Goldie *hug*

God bless you this day.

Isn't God good to send people into our lives that inspire us, check up on us and lift us up in prayer?!!!

Temptations come in so many forms and degrees -- at times, even to the degree of making us believe we're such a screw-up that our Lord could never use us or make us whole. Isn't the enemy of our souls sneaky? What better way to immobilize us -- stopping us in our tracks -- than to have us consumed with ourselves and our failures, tricking us into believing that grace is no longer available or too far out of reach, resulting in our not repenting and receiving.

It's important that we know the tricks of the enemy, but more important that we know the omnipotence of our Lord.

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

The English word "pharmacy" comes from the Greek word "pharmakeia." When looking up the word "pharmakeia" in Strong's Concordance the words sorceries and witchcraft are listed.

I feel confident that God's hand was in our having access to medical care and some prescription drugs. But, man has been tempted time after time by the devil to over indulge (excess) in the use of prescription drugs, and he is no doubt behind mankind's use of illegal drugs.

James 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I Peter 5:8-10
(8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
(9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
(10) But the God of all grace, Who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

You are not alone, Goldie. God is with you, and you are loved by Him and by so many others -- me included. *hug*

Goldie, you are in my prayers. God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

Amen
