This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

If you are being abused in your marriage and you are praying for God to change your spouse to do better > if He makes your spouse interested in doing things right, you will need to be able to relate with each other the way the Bible says >

"without complaining and disputing" (Philippians 2:14)

"submitting to one another in the fear of God." (Ephesians 5:21)

"nor as being lords over those entrusted to you,
but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

So, in case God really does change your spouse to do better, are you now getting ready to relate in Christian marriage the way God will want?

Your doing this now can help your spouse with your good example of

not giving in to the temptation to argue . . .

being submissive but in the way that is "in the fear of God."

not lording yourself over any other person, but being an example.

So, even if your spouse does not get better, this can make us better for how God wants us to be relating with all other people . . . as their examples inviting them to join us in this > not for just going along with what is wrong.

We can be getting ready, now, for if God brings us into a really Christian relationship of marriage. But, like I offer, learning how to relate like this can be good for our relating with others who are our Christian Family people, even while a spouse and others may not be into this.

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another,

. . . . . . . . tenderhearted,

forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

This is for all of us . . . how to relate with all other Jesus Family people. So, this is the way to be and relate, no matter how a spouse is not into this > not to let a wrong person get us away from how God's word and God's love will have us relating, all the time. And this is a good investment, in case God does change the spouse to want to do better, so we are ready for relating right in marriage (o:
