Holidays

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Holidays

Postby realtmg » Fri Dec 24, 2010 6:14 am

The Holidays used to be the time I thought to be "merry" so I used and drank. I ended up missing out of family functions because i was in too bad of shape or locked up somewhere.
Today I can enjoy the REAL joy and do not have to have "help" in doing so.
I woke up this morning thinking of the 3 wise men following the star of Bethlehem. Of the messiah going to be born in a manger.
Not a drink or drug.
I praise Him for changing me as He has through a process of self inflicted pain.

Just a thought for the Holidays for my fellow drinkers and users.

luv ya

God bless you brother!!
and merry CHRISTmas!!!
I too use to "have" to have pot to make anytime of year "merry" but God removed that from me and I am SOOOO thankful.
So I know it was a hard road but isn't it sweet to see where God is leading you down that road!
with much love, blessings and respect
