Not so sure

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

As many of u know i have shared about how i felt like i had forgiven my bio father. There is one thing that i haven't shared yet and it popped into my brain so am sharing here. My bio father (self proclaimed preacher, alcoholic) had given me a bible with inscription of "God richly blessed me when ok idk something to effect cuz i was sent to live with him.....
anyways.... i couldn't bring myself to look at it. I tore out the dedication page, still wasn't able to use it. So, years ago..... I gave it to my therapist and told him to give it away, to leave it lying in a pew somewhere or something. Well, the last time i saw him (years ago) he brought up that he had found that bible in the attic or somewhere and he said when i had come full circle that i would be able to take it back.

Now, idk if he even still has it, I could email him and ask him though its been several years. But thing is....... would i be able to even look at it????
I have several bibles, a NIV, NKJV, and am waiting on a Life Recovery bible...

Soooo, i reckon what i wonder is if i truly have forgiven my bio father cuz of the whole bible thing.....

Goldie my dear...only you can truly answer if you have forgiven your dad...but...I would dare to say yes....if you are having doubts about e mailing for your bible..then maybe let it be..and ask you heavenly Father for the Bible you want ..
God Bless you sis...
you are doing well in this...keep your eyes on Jesus..do not let this thought take you captive and again
stay free my dear
