Question.

Does anyone know of any groups that help troubled teens that might be willing to accept help from someone who is still a teen? Teens with problems is something that has been close to my heart and that I feel the need to try to help change but I'm not really sure on how... I can't help with my church youth group yet because I just graduated not too long ago so I'm still really close in their age and you have to be 25 to be a youth group leader.

I was also wondering if anyone knows of any groups that send people on short term mission trips. I know I am called for short term mission and then to come back and work with teens some more but I don't really know of any groups that send people for short term mission groups. I know there are some I just don't know how to contact them or where to find them... I suppose I could ask my pastor but I would also like to see what you guys think.

With love,

Hi Emme,

The only teen group that I know of off the top of my head is "Teen Challenge" I know there are chapters everywhere, but in your location, youd have to look it up on the internet. I know its for troubled teens...but, God may have a place there for you.

God bless your sweet soul. Pray about this and ask the Lord to lead you and open doors for you..the ones He would lead you into. He will make a way for what He calls you to do. Im praying for you! His perfect will be done in all things. *Pray*

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

I wanted to say also....some missions are right in your own community...like going to a hospital to spend time with, pray with, read to, whatever the Lord would have you do...with people who are ill...or kids who are sick. Just a thought....or going to a homeless shelter or soup kitchen to help feed the hungry...Ill be praying for you! *BigGrin*

Momo,

Thank you so much! I have wanted for a long time to be a volenteer at a hospital but they will not let me because I have never had any shots. (One of my sisters had a bad reaction to one and my parents stopped doing shots after that.) But I'm sure I can find some way to help in other places. Thanks again so much. Your posts have been really helpful. :)

I just saw your post and thought of YWAM, Youth With a Mission. They do locals and international short term mission trips. You can do an Internet search and find a lot of info about them and probably contact info. Several of our teens have gone with them and had life changing experiences. Bless you for your heart and desire to serve Him!

On the station KLove there is a place you can call to get further information called Teen Challenge. It's not only for teens with drug and alcohol addiction, but adults too. You can get the number for more info if you'd like. Congrats on graduating and good luck with finding answers.
