Secret Service

We have this phrase we use at work...it's called Secret Service....and basically what it is...is that we do something kind for someone above and beyond the normal job description, but don't tell anyone that we did it.
I wonder if Christians were to apply secret service to their christian walk, how many blessings our Father would be allowed to pour forth. Often we as people are looking to be validated in our service, almost to the point of expecting a thank you, or an acknowledgment from another, or we have to go and "brag" to someone about what a "good" thing we have done....but when we do something expecting something in return, is it true service coming from the heart?
God is well pleased when His children choose to reach out and do a "good work", to bring glory to Him. Doing so secretly, and keeping the service between God and you...really does show God that everything you do is all about Him.
Blessings to all of you.
