Christianity Oasis Forum

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

The Benefits of Fighting the Good Fight of Faith Part 3

Postby saint701 » Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:30 pm

Hello Christianity Oasis, All...
*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

The third benefit of fighting the good fight of faith are these; all the Good Words of God He has given us in the Old and New Testaments.

Matt.4
[4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Have you ever taken the scripture Matt.4 [4] above into your heart and searched out what it might mean should you understand its significance once applied to your life? For example, please consider Proverbs 4:20-24 below...the Words of God are health to all our flesh. Derek Prince, one of my mentors in the faith, tells this story. He was in a hospital long ago suffering from what seemed to be an incurable ailment when one day whlie reading his Bible, he came across Proverbs 4. There he discovered the Words of God are life and health to all our flesh. And so, reasoning things out he decided to take into himself the Words of God 3 times a day, "believing" that he could be made well in so doing, and he was! Here is my point in relating this story. It is equally as important for us to take in 3 square meals of the Word of God each day, as it is to feed our body bread.

How you ask? First, by being strong in faith, believing in the Words of God. Second, by meditation. And third, by confession. It won't do us any good at all to meditate on the Words of God, if we do not believe that all of His Good Words to us, given us in the Old and New Testaments are for us. Believing on all of those good words is wisdom, because we cause them to dwell in our hearts richly.
Col.3 [16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; It is a wise thing to do so because if we abide in the Lord, and His Words in us, we can ask what we will and it shall be done unto us. John.15 [7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Also, Jesus is our "Bread of Life." John.6 [48] I am that bread of life. Just as Reverand Prince took the "Bread of Life," into his body 3 times a day, and was healed, we should do the same, not just for our health, but for our overall well being.

Having believed on the Word of God, now let us meditate upon them and confess them. I want to be blessed in so doing, don't you? I like to meditate on and confess Deuteronomy chapter 28, verses 1 to 13. Here they are. [1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
[2] And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
[3] Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
[4] Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
[5] Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
[6] Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
[7] The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
[8] The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
[9] The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
[10] And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
[11] And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
[12] The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
[13] And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

What are God's commandments to us? They are for us to love Him and one another.

May all the blessings of the Lord be yours today and forever.
Love, In Christ Jesus, Saint701.
It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
