Christ in you, part 3

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Yesterday we dug a little deeper into the subject of Christ in you, your hope of glory. We clearly stated what Christ in you is and what Christ in you is not. Summed up, we stated that Christ in you is not the imitation of Christ, but rather exactly what the Apostle Paul said it was, God working within you, (mind, soul), to will and to do for His good pleasure. We left the reader with this understanding, that this Man of God would share some of his experiences with Christ living within him.

First of all, when the presence of Christ living in our soul as a personality is first experienced one is filled with wonder and amazement that such grace could be given to one that is least worthy of such an honor. That phase ends quickly as we realize that with such grace comes responsibility, and with the acceptance of that responsibility our spiritual education begins.

Our Lord begins with us by revealing to us His exact nature. In our case the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid us a visit one night while we were fasting and praying for thirty days. He immersed us within Himself just long enough for us to know Him as He is. To say the least I was amazed. He is the very origin and essence of pure and perfect love.

I said to Him, “Sir, what is your will?” I shouldn’t have been surprised with His answer, but I was. All He said to me was this, “Love.” Needless to say the next morning I woke up with the love of God in me and overflowing with the understanding of our Lord’s High Priestly Prayer, John:17 and the Epistles of the Apostle John.

During that period of fasting and prayer one of the things I asked the Father for was the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of God that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened…(Eph.1:17-23)…, and when He visited us, He imparted that Spirit to us.

Eph.1

[17] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit ofwisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: [18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
[20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
[21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
[22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
[23] Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

The very next day we began sharing what the Spirit showed us on the website Christianity Oasis and have been doing so ever since. However, being taught the Word of God by the Spirit almost on a daily basis for the next eighteen months was only one side of our education. There were two other sides just as important that we had to learn about the living presence of Christ within us, our hope of glory. We will address those things in our next article.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
