Christ in you part 4

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Yesterday we examined the first of three outcomes of Christ living in us. We have met the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and learned of His true nature and begin to experience the life of Christ in us. We have asked for and received wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. Our eyes have become enlightened and we see and understand things in scripture that were previously hidden from us. Ephesians 1:17-23 has become true of us.

Today we will examine the second and third benefits of Christ living in us, although in two separate articles because of the length of each; the first being the greatness of God’s power in us, the second being the boundaries God sets for us in order that we might remain joined in Him and He in us.

Eph.1

[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
[20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead

From December1991 up until April of 2009 we were blessed to suffer many trials of our faith, most of which were fiery in nature, exactly as the Apostle Peter described them in the following verse.

1Pet.4

[12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
[13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Each attack was the same; a demon out of hell would assault our torso with unimaginable fear and hellfire beginning with the crown of our head and extending on down into the bottom of our gut. The experience was horrifying. Fire and fear tormented us night and day. We couldn't eat and we couldn't sleep. If such wasn’t bad enough, we did not know of any man or woman anywhere on this planet that experienced such and was still alive to talk about it. Such was very unfortunate, and even though we knew the Spirit of our Lord lived in us, it was up to us to endure each horrifying attack alone.

We have set the stage. Now we will return to that time of fasting and praying that brought the presence of the Father of our Lord to us. As mentioned the Father blessed us with the Spirit of His Love, and His Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation.

One might think that such an experience with the Father of our Lord would be the end of all the fiery trials, but it wasn't, and the last few days of fasting and praying became another war with a demon of fear and hellfire. We thought, "Oh well here we go again," and wondered how long the attack would last that time.

Then something quite remarkable happened on the inside of us. Suddenly in the fray was a mighty fire burning in our soul that joined in the battle. It was time for us to get to know the great power God made in Christ our Lord when He raised Him from the dead. Our Father’s resurrection power in the form of a Spirit of overcoming fiery might ended the onslaught of demonic fear and fire once and for all. We haven’t had an attack by that demon of fiery hell since. We have had other battles with different kinds of spiritual wickedness but our Lord has made us victorious in them all.

It’s one thing to say that greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world, but quite another to know that God lives within our soul ready to blaze into action when needed for any battle or help in any work requiring His magnificent resurrection might and power. God hasn’t given us a Spirit of fear, but a Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. All glory to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! Let us praise Him and thank Him forever and ever. Amen and Amen!

Such is one of the magnificent benefits we receive on the other side of the cross. In our next article we will discuss those boundaries God sets for us so that we will remain in Him and Him in us.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
