Easter and the other side of the cross; the resurrection

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

John.11

[25] Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he is dead, yet shall he live.

Easter Sunday services are simply magnificent. No other days in a calendar year celebrate the glory of God more than them. Christians delight themselves in the Lord on this day more than any other. It is a day full of joy and gladness. Yet there within our Lord’s resurrection dwells the seed that contains all of the glorious revelation that his apostle’s are soon to turn the world upside down with.

While it is the most wonderful day each year for Christians around the world, when Easter has passed, that great and mighty deed of God vanishes into the night, and all that our Lord’s resurrection should mean to us is forgotten. Such has been the reason for our articles this past week. Easter Sunday should not be the end of our Easter celebration each year, it should be the beginning.

At the very “least,” another six days should be added to the Easter festivities to examine all of the benefits we have gained through our Lord’s resurrection. This past week we have done just that, although not after this day, but prior to it as our hearts and minds have not been conditioned to follow up Easter with a week of teachings. Most of us do not know of or understand the super abundance of revelation God placed in Christ when he raised him from the dead. Yet abiding in the knowledge of who God has made us in Christ Jesus is the difference between a weak Christian and a mighty one, a weak church or a mighty one.

Here is a look back at those things we have examined this past week. The Apostle’s Creed is an anemic document that fails to inform Christians of the magnificent benefits gained for us on the other side of the cross. Christ came to bring us an abundant life, a spiritual life rich with all of the spiritual blessings we receive when born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Christ within is our hope of glory. His presence within us gives us access to his mind, his leading, and his doing through us to his glory. We are the sons and daughters of God, members of his royal family, begotten of God through the seed of our progenitor, the first born Son of God from the dead, the head of a new species of man, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the life of our Lord within us we look forward to glory and immortality.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
