Lost in Eden Seminary/Cemetery Part 3

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Hello All,

Blessings!

We have been discussing doctrinal fallacies that permeate Christendom today. Specifically, we have discussed fallcies that abound in Covenant and Eden Seminaries located here in St. Louis and how they have grown to permeate Protestant and Catholic doctrine. We've pointed out how such things as The Apostle's Creed fall short of helping us all understand that we "all" have been called to be our Lord's Disciples. We've shown how divisive denominations become when they reject the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We've pointed out, how, as leaders we show fear and cowardice when we usurp the role of the Holy Spirit in our church or in our denomination. And we've shown how greed plays a significant role when we will to do things our way instead of God's way. Today we will discuss how divisive, splintered factions in the body of Christ rob of us of our spiritual place in Christ Jesus, He in us, and we in Him.

Understanding that we are "in Christ" is not difficult. But seeing ourselves in Christ is. We can read that we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places or be told that when God looks upon us He sees Christ and not our sinful flesh, but coming to grips with such truths requires faith, and a corresponding action. The corresponding action is seeing ourselves clothed in Christ. The Apostle Paul tells us, Gal.3:27, for as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. We must see ourselves clothed in Christ. If we can see ourselves clothed within the body of Christ we can walk all over the Kingdom of Heaven and into the presence of the Lord of Glory without fear. To see ourselves seated in Christ in the presence of God is our place of abiding in Christ. The Apostle John also helps us with this. He tells us that God is love, 1John 4:16, and we have known and believed the love that God hath to us.God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.Now we see ourselves seated before God in Christ Jesus. We look into the beautiful eyes that overflow with love for His beloved Jesus. We feel that same love within ourselves. We understand that is how the Lord of Glory looks upon us and we lose all fear. We bathe in the glory of our Father’s perfect love. We find that in that perfect love we have peace with God. His perfect love now in us casts out all fear. Oh, the wonders of His love, the wonders of His love, how we love to bathe in the wonders of His love.Next comes Christ living within us. This is not something we just say we believe without experience. Such demands experience. We can say we believe we were baptized in the Holy Spirit the moment we were born again. We can say we were made perfect in love at the same time we were born again. We can say that when we were born again we were instantly placed in the maturity that denies the need of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We can say that those are childish things. But if such is true where is your experience? Where is the witness in yourself that such is true? If Christ is in you, where is His voice? Where is His leading? The Apostle John said, 1John 5:10, He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. If we say that Christ lives in us, then His presence in us is witness that we are in Him and He in us. As it is written, 1John 4:13, Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. If Jesus has given us of His Spirit, how shall we not know it?We say to you, that believing anything in the New Testament is no longer for us today is cowardly and selfish, not to mention heresy and sin. Such fallacious doctrine separates us from God. It divides the body of Christ. It declares our Lord to be a liar. It quenches the Holy Spirit. It robs us of God’s love, and the Spirit He has given us does not keep us from making a practice of sin. We practice sin when we deny the Spirit of Truth. If we have received the Spirit of Truth that the world cannot receive, how then is it possible that we are not distinguished from the world? The divisiveness in the Body of Christ is disgusting. Who can be one in Christ Jesus if all differ in their beliefs? How absurd! How idiotic! How blind! It is no wonder in our day our Lord has said to us that He would like to spew our lukewarm bodies out of His mouth. We disgust Him with our backbiting, our infighting, our church splits, our coldness and hardness of heart, our fallacious doctrines, our fear, our cowardice. Oh that we would just abide in the Word of God as it has been given to us in the New Testament, but no, we throw ourselves at the feet of the rulers of darkness of this world and let them lead us! Is there no end to the madness?

If Christ within us is our hope of glory, and His life in us is to be as His Father’s life was in Him, how is it that Jesus does not speak to us as the Father spoke to Him? If we abide in Him and He in us shall we not know His voice? 1 John 5:10, He that believeth on the Son of God hath thewitness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

John 14

[20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
[22] Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 17

[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
[22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
[24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
[25] O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
[26] And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
