Understanding the Love of God; are you persuaded?

Hosted by Saint 701 ... This forum is for the purpose of examining the subject of Grace and its great place in God's work in the body of Christ Jesus of which we are a part. "The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

Understanding the Love of God; are you persuaded?

Hello Christianity Oasis... All,
*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Was talking with Peggy, the secretary of Victory Christian Outreach Center located on Olive Blvd, this morning. We asked her what she thought about Paul's statement in the Book of Romans, Chapter 8:35-39.

[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

At first she was just a little shy about answering us, but with a coaxing she said, "Well, I suppose Paul just couldn't do without God's love in His life."

We liked her answer. We must admit that until the other evening we had often read the passage with some skepticism. And each time we read it we would ask ourselves, "Now how was it that he could be so confident in the eternal continuance of God's love in his life that he could say that he was persuaded that nothing....."

It has been a few years now since the person of the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid us a visit. We bathed in his glory for a short time, but it was enough time for us to get to know Him as the origin and essence of all love. During that time we asked of Him one question.

"What is your will Father?"

His answer was amazingly simple. "Love," He said. Then He was gone. To say that we were astounded by the greatness of the Father's love does not give Him enough glory. The purity, the profound wonder of His love leaves us speechless. The next moring we discovered that He had left us a gift. He had given us the gift of His love planted in our heart. Where before we lacked, we gained much. Such began our transformation from the mind of our flesh to the mind of our spirit. Such was helped along greatly with revelation after revelation. We would have a new revelation to teach upon each morning. When we opened our eyes it was there. Or during the day while we were teaching about one revelation we would see another. And if we didn't receive revelation first thing in the morning, we did as soon as we turned our soul toward the spirit God had given us of Himself. Sometimes we would receive revelations in the evenings while just meditating in the presence of the Holy Spirit. In all we did His love was there.

As we said earlier, with all the conflict we have to deal with as Christians such as powers and principalities, the princes of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in Heavenly places; and the conflict we have within our numerous fellowships, and the conflict we have with those that practice witchcraft, or Satanism, sometimes the love of God gets lost for a while in our struggle to survive all hell. Live we said, until the other evening we were a tad skeptical.

We suppose there is really no excuse not to believe as Paul believed, to be persuaded that nothing could separate us from the love of God, but our problem was that we placed our battles above God's love. Such was a huge mistake. Doubting the writers of the Old and New Testaments always is. Our bad as they say. But the other evening as we sat outside enjoying the cool air of the evening our eyes popped open and we saw why Paul could be so bold. Quite plainly and simply, like the nose on our face as people say, once God has planted His love presence in our heart, we can't be separated from that love. His love life is ever present within us. We are rooted and grounded in it. How wonderful it is to be persuaded!

Eph.3

[16] That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
[17] That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
[18] May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
[19] And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now we know!

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.

Isn't that the truth...once that you know, that you know that you love God...and that He is your Savior...nothing can tell you any different....being persuaded is so awesome...I hear people denounce God...and I think...you really just don't know....it's sad to see those who have no clue...and then the enemy will try and persuade people to see him instead of God...but for those of us who are persuaded and know Truth...being swayed is not something the enemy can do...I mean Job is the perfect example...he knew that he new that he loved God and that God is soveriegn....despite what Satan threw his direction...oh it's so sweet to be persuaded...I do have to agree.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
