The Parable of the Talents
Hi Wonderfuls!
Blessings!
Just a little on the parable of the talents..those with 5 and 2 talents have no fear and invest wisely. It is interesting to notice how quickly money can be doubled these days by investing in Kingdom of Heaven ventures. The one with fear only knows God as a judge. People that only know God as a judge and not as love have not the love of God in them to give, as they have not His Spirit.
Blessings!
Love, In Christ Jesus, Den.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.

Hello Saint and Everyone
God bless you this day.
Ahhhhhhh, talents. For the longest time I couldn't fully grasp these scriptures, and I'm sure He'll reveal more and more as I go along. God is Good, His will be done.
Heaven's streets are paved in gold, so God does not lack money in Heaven, but what about His Kingdom here on earth? What has He given me, that I can invest on His behalf, thus giving Him a return on what He has entrusted to me? For a time, I had extra money to give, but I didn't do that well at investing it wisely within The Kingdom, so, extra money dwindled away. For the longest time I thought it was the gifts/calling like gift of discernment and such, but, it truly goes deeper than that, doesn't it? God treasures His creation, His children -- we were all made in His image. So, when He works through me, meaning The Holy Spirit suddenly has me praying for someone that I might not have anything in common with, I'm experiencing His love for this person. So, His love that He has bestowed unto me, is then gaining a return, because I am praying for another by the power of His love working in me.
His love never fails. I fail often. But, His love has me get back up and try, try again. Acts of kindness, saying hello, praying for them, sharing a giggle, sharing His Word, sharing a loaf of bread or a bowl of soup or a cup of coffee. All done by His love filling me up and then spilling over onto others.
When September 11th happened, my hubby and I were at our office with our employees. I wanted to go home. Hubby and I decided to close the office and send everyone home. I was scared and I wanted to be near where my daughter was. I urged our employees to go home and be with their families. But, honestly, I was more concerned for myself and my immediate family and for my extended blood family. I think it's "natural" for us to want our loved ones (thru blood or thru common interests) to be safe. God works through us in a supernatural way so that His love extends out farther than our love does -- beyond our blood families and close pals (philadelphia). His love encompasses larger areas and more people (agape).
Talk about a return on His investment.
Psalm 119:32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Many say they don't have time to invest in others, but yet they do have extra finances in which they could bless others and ministries for The Kingdom of God.
Luke 16:10-11
(10) He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
(11) If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
God bless you.
Love,
Mack
