"The Book of Romans" was chosen for the title since that book is so rich in Grace to us, but in no way is this forum limited in examining Grace to only the "Book of Romans."

The Benefits of Fighting the Good Fight of Faith, Part 2

Hello Christianity Oasis, All...

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

When I finished part one of this series on the benefits of fighting the good fight of faith my intent was to impress upon you all the necessity of being rooted and grounded in the Love of God, which is given to us by our Heavenly Father, because of the prayer to Him by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the Gospel of John chapter 17. The Love of God is the greatest benefit that comes to us through the knowledge of God our Father. Once we know Him we know He is indeed love. But not as in the love of a friend at first, and certainly not in the love that is the love that is in the lust of the flesh, but our Heavenly Father's Love, not only defines who He is, but comes to us as the pure and perfect essence of all that is or ever will be Love. The Love of God has no equal. But how does that love come to us? It comes to us through the 2nd greatest benefit of fighting the good fight of faith, that being the Holy Spirit.

Rom.5
[5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

John.13
[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
[35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Why is the Holy Spirit the number 2 benefit of Fighting the Good Fight of Faith? Because, of no other creature or entity did our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ say to us, that it was EXPEDIENT, (John 16.7), for Him, (our Lord Jesus), to go away so that He could send us another comforter to be with us forever. And of no other creature or entity did our Lord Jesus say to us, but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. And of no other creature or entity did the Apostle Paul say to us how the Love of God comes to us, but by the Holy Ghost.

Rom.5
[5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

But how is it the Holy Ghost comes to us? Is it not by the laying on of hands? Acts.19
[1] And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
[2] He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
[3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
[4] Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
[5] When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
[6] And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. The most common way a believer is baptized in the Holy Ghost is through the laying on of hands. But please note that water baptism often comes before the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.

I would also like to remind you my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus of this pregnant scripture. Heb.6 [12] That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises, chiefly these. He it is, (the Holy Spirit), the one and only entity God has given us for a myriad of spiritual purposes. He it is the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, our Anointing, our Teacher, our Revelator, our Eye Opener, our Enlightener, our Wisdom, and our Understanding, but most importantly, He it is that sheds the Love of God abroad in our heart. And on account of that fact He alone is our number 2 benefit of our Fighting the Good Fight of Faith. Therefore, receive and be baptized in the Holy Ghost! But you ask. Where? How? By the hands of whom? When?

We receive spiritual things by faith. It is possible to be baptized in the Holy Spirit by believing on Mark 11.24 [24] Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. But such a prayer sometimes also requires us to confess aloud that we have or will have the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues before we have the manifestation of what we have believed for. Mark 11:23...and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH

Of course there are a few denominations such as the Assembly of God, the Full Gospel people, Pentecostals and some non-denominational churches that have believers in their congregations that have the power to lay hands upon you and if you have already believed that when that minister lays hands upon you, you will be Baptized in the Holy Ghost, you WILL be Baptized in the Holy Ghost!

The Holy Ghost is our 2nd greatest benefit when fighting the good fight of faith.

Love, in Christ Jesus, Saint701.
It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
