step 8

This step was a small one for me. I had already been doing this before reading the step. For me it seemed natural to first eject the bad thoughts and focus on the good ones like praising God.

This morning on my way to work I was feeling anxiety. When I had a few minutes to recognize the feeling for what it was I examined it to figure out why I was feeling it. After I figured it out I prayed for it to be gone and ejected it from my thoughts. Then imediatly sang along to a worship song to help banish that physical feeling I had. I felt my body relax and I was my normal self again. Praise God. I hadn't read this step yet either when I did this. I did use the method of the map of the mind to eject the bad thoughts. That was quite helpful.
