Step Four entry

The topic of forgiving others and especially myself. I already have forgiven others and it is accurate that forgiving myself is the hardest. Also difficult to imagine is to talk to someone in private and tell them that they have sinned against me. I have a list of people I have wronged and will soon talk to them about how I have wronged them, but to tell someone how they have wronged me is the opposite. I imagine that person will feel as if they are being accused or blamed although doing that sort of thing in private is better than in public.

There is one person that I think of particularly that sinned against me. My brother-in-law who came over angry over my foolishness and yelled, would not leave when I asked him and threatened me with violence. I can imagine explaining how I wronged him by interrupting his day by giving him a reason to come over. I can't imagine how I would say, "dude you sinned me but I forgive you." His response would likley be,"I sinned you?!"

I do like the depth of forgiveness described by the song "What Sin?" and by many of the verses. To understand the depth of forgiveness I should have towards others is equal the depth of forgiveness I want God to have towards me.

Hey brother
I just wanted to say I believe that taking all sin to God weather it be against or by you is what is needed.
I do believe if you can you should stand up for the wrong you do BUT as for holding on to what others have done to you is wrong, I believe if you take that to God and ask for Him to give you the strength, knowledge and ability to forgive then it IS forgiven.
I agree that if you go to most people and say you done this or that and it hurt me this way it is only going to add salt to the wound so to speak, but if I am able to look at that person and smile and not have ill feelings because God gave me the ability to let things go then I feel I am showing Gods love as He intended.
This is JUST my opinion.
May god bless you in your journey, and it's good to have you here, I have been reading some of your post

don't know what part of Ohio you in but GO BUCKS *BigGrin*
