I read that God delivers people from evil. That could be what happened with my wife and child. When they left I was only a couple days off drugs and difficult to deal with. Them being gone has given me time get involved in recovery and focus on self improvement.
I also read through God's Grace i am forgiven. It gives me conviction knowing the sacrifice Christ gave for us when I sin. I acted on anger and suspicion last week then lied to cover it up. I admitted my wrong the next day to the person because part of my salvation is repentance. When I sin I feel like I am saying to Jesus, "so what if you died on a cross for me". What more could He have done for me to show his love? Then when I sin it is as if I am saying that is not enough.
I like the part in the 2nd stepping stone that says sometimes we stumble but we get up and dust our self off. I can sure relate. I have stumbled. I relapsed after I first accepted Christ and was clean through His strength and power for six months. Oh the regret I felt having suffering the loss of my family through divorce. On the positive I have received ten times the willingness that I originally had and try much harder on a daily basis at developing my relationship with the Lord.
