Journal Day 9

Postby Listening heart » Fri Feb 17, 2012 12:26 pm

I'm learning that there is a sense of peace in patience. That peace, at this moment, takes my mind off my problems and makes me feel closer to my Heavenly Father.

I was going to the hairdresser today to have a few lowlights put in my greying hair. My hair is longer than I can remember it being before - it has nearly always been just above shoulder length. I decided to grow it last year and now it is getting long, and is in good condition. On my way to the shop, I asked God some questions about my hair. 'Is it my glory? Is it Your glory? Why does hair feel so nice when it's long?. He answered me ' Your hair is a mantle of love - and as your hair grows so will your love' I think He said this to me also because I had been asking Him about the neighbourhood where my hairdresser is situated. It is not very nice there, and there are quite a few rough, hard people. I'm always glad I don't live there. I felt He was showing me that my love will grow and grow and that my love and compassion for others will grow too. I feel quite overwhelmed by what He showed me at the moment.

I am glad that you are hearing and listening to God as He speaks to you. Patience really is a virtue, its such a task but it does come with a great sense of peace. I pray you continue to draw closer to God as you continue on your journey.
God's blessing,
Krysy
