The fact that you are asking shows me you do care about what is growing in side of you. Ask yourself what will you do a year from now if you abort. When the baby would of turned one? When the baby would of began to walk if he/she had of been born? When the baby would of gone off to his/her first day of kindergarten? Can you handle your decision then? Or will your choice cause you more emotional trauma every time you are reminded that a little someone is missing from your life? It is important to think ahead because this is a decision you have to live with.
A baby is never a bad thing. They seem to have a way of healing so much with in us and around us when that day they arrive comes.
Sarah was an older mother too.
I pray what ever you choose that you can have peace with God and with your self. God loves you and that little one surviving inside of you. Take care.

Hi Popples and WELCOME HOME!!!
And I want to wish you a merry CHRISTmas as well
Now I must say I agree with Pine, it is easy for a man to say "I don't want it" I as a man know how a man thinks but I also can imagine a woman that could and would regret a life changing choice that in my opinion is both mother and fathers choice BUT that mother has that life INSIDE of her when the father is only a contributer to the fact so it is easy for a man to say that but a woman ultimately is the one to decide if she can live with her choice and this can be both ways as well
because there may be "special" curcumstances that only the mother and father know so I think she needs to decide if his choice is the best for "all" involved or if it is a selfish choice he is choosing but the choice needs to be made quickly by her
As for my opinion there is not much that would be reason to abort, that is a gift from God that some will never see so for some out there it is a choice that is made WAY to easily to end a chance to see one of the most amazing blessing given by God, BUT this is a choice YOU must make through speaking with God and hopefully you, God and your husband can come to agreement of what is best.
I pray you recieve the answers you need and that you and your husband are blessed with Gods will

Re: 8 days is it anything
Hello popples ,
Welcome to the Oasis. I am lifting you , your child and your husband in prayer. I pray the Lord will guide you in this very hard decision you are going to make. I for one, being a mom and also being one who had an abortion want to beg you not to do it! I wish i never had, i regret it BIG TIME...the misconception most people have is that if you hide it or give it away, then it will go away. It never goes away wether you have the child or not. You will live with that child for the rest of your life, wether it be in your thoughts or in physical life. Today my child would be 21 years old, possibly pursuing a career and or starting to adventure out in life on their own. It doesnt go away. I cant tell you what to do but i can tell you from MY experience with dealing with heartache, depression, anxiety and a whole in my heart where that child should of been. It took me a long time to forgive myself for being a partaker in the abortion, a very long long time... just a year or so ago as i worked through this very counseling program with the Love of Christ and these awesome brothers and sisters that walk along side me here at the Oasis. Please dont see this as being a scare tactic to talk you out of something. This is just my reality of all the heartache i went through after having an abortion, against my own will ( i was underage when i had it and i was scared that my parents would disown me, so i listened to them) You know what else? Those who talked me into having the abortion also regret doing so. Sometimes we are so blinded by whatever emotions, embarassements, etc... that we cant think clearly.
Seek God in this matter, sis. My heart goes out to you and yours.
God bless n keep you all
♥Jill
