Hi futurediary,
Just came across your post. Very sorry to hear about your problems.
The first thing I would say to you is that time is very important. It's always good for dulling our negative emotions; dulling our hurts, disappointments, despair, etc.
So I would suggest you tough your way through the following days, weeks, etc., and let the passage of time do this for you.
In the meantime, I don't want to get all preachy about alcohol, especially since I have had my own on-again, off-again battles with the bottle in the past, but, besides being a (very) short-term escape from one's problems, the ultimate result is that one wakes up the next morning with the same problems, and a possibly quite awful hangover.
I have found a list of bible passages here (see below) that are related to human despair, the emotion, and I hope you might get some encouragement in them.

Furthermore, I would just like to remind you that God loves you, and many of His greatest servants in the bible were plummetted into the depths of despair. It can happen to the best of His people.
We all fall, and we all fail. All that God expects of us is to get back up after each occasion, and to sincerely seek His help in going forward.
God bless you, and best of luck as you work through this.

Re: ???
We all have trials and allow our emotions rise above our trust, faith, and patience.
Matthew 6:33...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
I have felt many times as you feel. But, looking back I had my proprieties wrong and my attitude was negative. I learned how to be grateful and trust in Him instead of trying to figure things out on my own. God knows our hearts and He sometimes allows trials and tribulations come upon us to test our Faith in Him. This has been my experience.
I still have times that HE is far away at times but I know HE isn't.
Hang in there and you are not the only one who feels this way.
I try to read a few verses each day.
I also think about others who have it worse than I do taking my thoughts off myself.
Thanks for posting.

Praying for you and hoping you will see some things more clearly in God's Word. He is there in our deepest dispair and pain. I know.. I have been in alot pain and grief for a number of years. The going gets vey rough and we feel sooo alone at these times. But God is alwys with you and just waiting for you to call out to him for help and understanding. Read the Bible Chapter of Job. He was in alot misery and everything was took from him but his life. I would rather you didnt get drunk.. that will cause alot confusion, and mess your mind up worst than it already is. We need a clear mind that Satan cant attack us more and more with doubts and depression.. I am not telling you what to do.. may God show you the answers to your problems, and if you let Him, you will begin to understand more and more about how He works in our lives. May God Bless and Be with You.. Warm Hugs, Angel of Hope
