Covered under the Blood of Jesus
Hello,
Continuing with this program doesn't seem right for me...I have had alot of counseling in my lifetime and have talked about these issues over and over again. So to keep bringing them up is a sin for me because they are now covered under the Blood of Jesus. The Word of God says that I am to remember the things of Old no more! Yes there are beautiful Roses growing in my garden now days and yes some weeds do still pop up around them and need to be plucked out, but for the most part my garden has a Holy Fence around it and is very secure. As a believer and follower of Christ I do know what is needed to keep the enemy at bay & under my feet.
I do work the 12 steps of recovery using my Life Recovery Bible so after looking this program over and reading thru it I see that alot of this is the same as working the 12 steps. Step 1 - We admitted we have a problem & it has made my life unmanageable, Step 2 - Came to believe that Jesus could restore me to wholeness, Step 3 - Made a decision to turn my life over to Jesus, Step 4 - Made a searching & fearless moral inventory of myself...I personally have done 4 of these in the last 20yrs. Step 5 - admitted to Jesus, myself & another person the exact perplexity of my problem or issues....etc.
So I feel that as long as I keep working the 12 steps along with scripture and watering my garden with the Word of God and weeding it when necessary..my life will remain under the control of Our Holy Father.

Chana you are an amazing woman! Don't ever doubt that. Always listen to God's guidance thru Holy Spirit and you won't go wrong.
I think this also comes from our conversation this morning

It is better to light a candle then curse the darkness
No fear... just freedom

Hello Chana
I have seen people strong in their faith , and if I were to chose from them to use as power of examples , next to yours they would rate second and go down the list from there .
Taking into account your circumstances (all combined) , it takes additional strength to keep afloat .
Proud of you , keep up the good work .
In Christ , our Lord

Thank you both for your words of encouragement...God will heal the relationship between my mother and myself. I TRUST HIM! All I need to do in "trust in Him" and lean not on my own understanding and all these things shall be added unto me. Our God is so faithful to restore us to wholeness and bring us out of the wilderness into the Promised Land! Praise God!

Praying for you. Hope to see you Thursday night in the chat program. Remember 9pm eastern.
You are doing well. And with God all things are possible. Praying for you and your relationship with your mother. Remember forgiving releases you.
So glad to have you here.
Friend and sister.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Chana, I think you have come a long way already...and now it's time to finish the race strong....I often believe that we endure hardships in life...that we can in turn use to help others who are where we have been. I hope that someone reads your shared words here and sees that there is hope...and a way to reach forgiveness. I believe God will heal your relationship with your mom...one day whether here or in Heaven...but either way for now please know we are all here to support you and encourage you. Grow close to God Chana...build your relationship each and every day..and one day the bond you have with Christ will bring you a new Life in Heaven.
luv ya

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
