Day Two- My wife and I together

Today, my precious wife and I are working in the garden together. That ol' gate was kinda creaky. What did we find there? Dandelions! Loads of 'em!
What really stuck us today was how we have been deceived by that Ol' Devil. He says, "Look at all those flowers!" and we say, "I thought those were weeds." But he replies, "Naw, those are flowers. Just look how pretty they are." And we believe.
But you know what's worse is when we look at the dandelion and we KNOW it's a weed, but we leave it there anyway. We may say, "Yeah, I know you're a weed, but I've gotten kinda used to you being there, so I'll let you stay." Or, "If it weren't for you, little weed, I wouldn't know what the real flowers look like!" Or, "Your being here must be God's way of bringing me closer to Him."
Now, there's no doubt that God sometimes allows things in our life to bring us closer to Him, but that doesn't mean that we need to let things in thinking that we're gonna help God when it comes to helping us. That's simply justifying our sins and weaknesses for our own sake.
Anyway, we've got work to do together, my bride and I. But it's so nice to look and see that we're not doing it alone, that we have one another, working toward the same goal.
