I need some advice from my brothers and sisters in christ, as I can think of no one else who could offer me better advice. My wife is being mentally and emotionally unfaithful to me. She is doing this by having heavily flirtatious conversations while chatting and texting with other men. I have tried telling her how it makes me feel and she always ends up yelling at me. I feel so depressed. Christ is my only hope or solace in this situation, but I just cant figure out how to deal with the pain. We have two kids together and I love my family. I want to be a faithful Christian good husband and father. I just dont know how to deal with this emotional pain. Any advice you can supply is greatly appreciated. May christ bless you!

I'm so sorry for the pain you are feeling -- I know it must be difficult. I can sense the hurt in your spirit.

Cloudstrife, at this moment, all I can advise is that you stay as close to the Lord as you possibly can. He will lead you in this situation.

In the meantime, I'll be lifting you and your family up in prayer. I hope you'll also take this time to come here as often as you feel led and spend some fellowship time with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

God knows your pain, Cloudstrife. Reach out to Him and ask The Holy Spirit to rain His comfort upon you.

Keep lifting your wife up in prayer. It truly is spiritual warfare, my friend, as the Word says -- Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

It is good to be supported in prayer, Cloudstrife. I will be lifting you up.

While alone with God in your prayer closet, pray Colossians 1:9-14 over your wife -- The Word is powerful.

Thank you so much. You have no idea how alone I have been feeling, and it makes me feel great that god led me here to seek advice, and I was welcomed with open arms. I am very interested in Fellowship, even beyond this issue. I am relatively new to the Faith, and I whole-heartedly appreciate this site. THANK YOU. I will encourage you to pray when those times comes and that pains feels to hard to bear ask GOD to guide you and pray for your wife and I know that, that will be hard especially when you are in so much pain but pray for her ask GOD to touch her heart and show her what she is doing to you. Ask GOD to help her feel and see your pain, and also ask him to show you the way to show her that you truly Love her and you want to be that man in her life that she wants to text and hold all of these conversations with, Ask him to teach you both how to truly Love each other the way he intended. Tell him all about your pain your sorrow and he will guide you and get you through it.

First let me tell you that God knows your pain. Second, is your wife saved? This is a spititual war that you are going through right now. This is the work of the enemy working through your wife .The enemy is very busy and he is trying to tear your marriage and family apart. Pray for your wife and ask God to remove the veil that is covering her eyes. ask the Lord to give you the right words to say to your wife and ask the Lord to touch her heart and ears so that she can hear both you and God. Once you see what the enemy is doing you will be able to focus on God and not your pain. Read Matthew 5:28 and let your wife know that adultery is not just a sex sin. adultery involves emotions. Also if you haven't already, pray for your children to. Satan won't stop with your wife, he will attack your entire family. I will lift you and your wife and family up in prayer. Things will be ok.

She may have been won to marry you, by what is more about you than about how God has us loving. Now be getting stronger in how God's love is > so you can be ready to be her example to win her to how God wants us to be loving >

Helo All, thank you for your advice and prayers. I can feel them lifting me up, and I appreciate it wholeheartedly. Here is an excerpt from another of my posts which sorta explains my wifes relationship with Christ, our lord.

"all I yearn for is god. I tried to explain this to my wife yesterday and she says "were not even compatible anymore" She was referencing the fact that I have become heavily devoted to my faith. She beleives in Christ, but she leaves it there. I do not see her trying to immprove her relationship with GOD. She is content to accept the forgiveness, and just leave it there. So the fact that I have been spending alot more time with HIM, and the fact that HE is all I really talk about anymore (because I am keeping my mind on him) she feels like she cant talk to me, because she says I am taking it too far. HOW CAN YOU TAKE IT TOO FAR WITH GOD? That doesnt make sense to me. Our bretheren in the past (and even today) have died in his name. If others have done this and that is not going to far ( but is more like giving ultimate glory to HIM) than how can me becoming a "jesus freak/fanatic" be going to far. Really I feel those words are not hers but are the words of the evil one. I am firm though, I have faced enough persecution from my own family as a Kid, I will not as a Man submit to this persecution and abandon my faith for ANYONE or ANYTHING. "

At the same time, I feel like I should not judge her faith based of of Paul's words in Cor 1. I am quite perplexed on how to handle this still, but the Lord has been watching over me and providing peace to my heart. I am still worried, but GOD is healing my heart, and turning it to his.

Yep your wife is for God to fix not you. Just be the example of Jesus to her, and He will do the rest.

I believe all the advice given is good and from God. I would like to suggest you also rent the movie "Fireproof". It is about strife in marriage and some steps that can be taken to help. Watch it when your wife is around, don't force the issue though.
Something is missing in her life (GOD) so she is seeking solace elsewhere. Pray for her like you have never prayed before. Use the love you have for her to nurse her back to health.
