God still loves you

Postby learningtoagape » Sun Dec 06, 2009 10:02 pm

I just wanted to say that God still loves you. That is the beauty of the love of God is that it can not be changed by anything we do. He loves us no mater what. The Bible says that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. You know what else nothing takes God by surprise. He knew that you would fall away but though you left him, he promised to never leave you or forsake you. It is hard for us to believe that God loves us even when we have been disobedient and have a life filled with so much sin. Bu that is what is so amazing.....He still loves you....He still forgives you...He still wants what is good for you....Don't give up on yourself because God hasn't given up on you. God Bless.

Hi Sis,

I can tell you're really overwelmed. Sometimes, if we can just find ONE thing that we can love about ourselves, or take one little step forward to the person we want to be... it gives us a testimony of God's power in us to change. I learned that from Nick Vujucic, who was born with no arms or legs. He says he looks in the mirror and says, "Nick, you have beautiful eyes." Can you do that sis?

If you overwelmed by the many things about your life you want to change... pick one for this week. Maybe you want to have a consistent quiet time with the Lord... but carving an hour out of your day is totally impossible right now. Choose one scripture to carry with you and read throughout the day, ponder on it and pray over what God means for you. That was just an example... you may want to change something else, like taking a walk everyday or spending more time with friends. Just pick one thing and aim for improvement, not perfection.

This walk ... it's not always going to look pretty. sometimes it's more of a stumble from one day to the next. If you fall down, get back up. If you veer off the trail, just get your focus back on where you're headed and keep moving. We've all got our path and you're not on it alone. Don't be shy about asking for support from others cuz everyone needs help.

Love ya,

tracy,

this is my first time ever posting. i was almost drawn to tears from your story. i know the bondage you are talking about. this is my first post because this is the first time i have exposed my secret sins to anyone. for six years i have tried and have failed that many times. i have abused God's mercy and love so many times i am aghast at how He has let me live. i just want to let you know that you are not alone. and we can be free! God is waiting with out stretched arms! He can change us! focus on God's love and you will have no time to focus on your regrets.
