Hello YF :)

God bless you this day, and welcome to Christianity Oasis.

Depression is the pits, and I'm sorry you are going through it. I am sending up prayers to our Lord in the name of Jesus on your behalf. May God's blessed will be done.

I am someone that dealt with depression for most of my life, and The Lord used the Studies on this site to grow me closer with Him, and to heal me of my depression, because the Studies are Holy Spirit inspired and lean heavily on The Word of God. Jesus is The Word and Jesus heals and Jesus will set you free. If you have not already begun the 14 Day Christian Counseling (CCCC) Study, I encourage you to do so. Here is the link to that particular study: http://www.christianityoasis.com/CCCC/Forum.htm

I'm glad The Lord led you here.

God bless and keep you, YF.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Hello,

Thanks for your comment. I will be right to the point. I used to believe that I had a relationship to God, was hearing, and visions, etc. However that turned out to be a deception and whom I thought I was supposed to truth, The Holy Spirit is no longer someone I trust. I am not being disrespectful of things of God but for me personally, I do not want a relationship with God...because I have been decieved by satan.

Hello yf. I wanted to add to my former statement. As christians, as humans really, we are all subjected to the devil's charms and deception. But, be careful, do not let this hinder you. I have been deceieved before, but, that is not an excuse. I have been hated before, but, that is not an excuse. I have even been, and still am, tortured at night by demons and their dreams. But! That is not an excuse. To use the deception of the enemy of everyone's soul as an excuse to not trusting God is a deadly error. We are all soldiers of God, and children, and as such we are not subjected to the world neither the devil's lies. That means that falling for these lies are our own fault. I, as every child of God, is not allowed to use deception as a means to separating ourselves from our Father. To do so means death to a member, which has the danger of destroying yet another soul. Deception is and will always be the devil's game, and to fall away because of it will solve nor prevent any more trials. That being said, only you can find your way back on your own path. If the truth hurts, than you have lived to long without the truth. And a soul who has lived without the Truth has never lived.

I trust The Word of God totally, just not a Spiritual experience. I am referring to @ Cor, 11 I believe. The devil had disguised himself as an angel of light and had me believing it was Holy Spirit. I did attend a Bible school and learned more about listening to Gods Spirit. but I realized that what I heard who I thought God was, was really the enemy. cause it said lies and not truth, hope making sense, thanks for your patience. Hope I have not upset you at all. To defend myself, I have not fallen from my faith at all. Test the Spirit is what I did, which is scriptural.

You have not offended me, I was just worried that you would avoid the Holy Spirit because of deception. You will know when He speaks to you, you should ask for the gift of Discernment =) That being said, there is no need to defend yourself; I do not seek to attack a fellow Child of God.

you are right, I avoid and already thought I heard Him already, so had prayed for this also Eph 1 17, but I refuse to make a mistake. Once upon a time I thought I heard thought you heard and I was just cant allow that anymore in my life...for me is like listening to some one totally un trustworthy. makes no sense for me anymore, but surly appreciate you trying to help me.

Everyone makes mistakes, but to avoid trying will not keep you from making the same mistake. You've learned the deception, use it so that you can discern if you are speaking to the Holy Spirit or not. I have made many mistakes, but from them I learn discipline. And remember, the devil cannot hear yout thoughts. For now, instead of speaking out loud to the Holy Spirit, maybe you can try speaking to Him in your head. And remember also, that The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. He only says what God tells Him to say, so He cannot lie. He, being a Spirit, is also full of emotion. How hurt would you be if your child never trusted or talked to you again because the person who intended harm on them hurt them like this?

I had been doing this silent communications but was deceived. its not my fault as i had been seeking God for a long time every day and listening but like I said I will not be led by any Spirit again. I really am unable to answer your question cause I really dont need any guilt thrown my way..God knows

My intention is not to burden you with guilt. But, remember, blaming the devil, though it is his doing, does not excuse you from anything. The devil can only suggest things, he can do nothing more. Allowing this deception to close you off from the Holy Spirit is a bigger mistake than falling for the devil's schemes. I'm not trying to hurt you, im just telling you what I have learned.

you lost me. I don't understand what you mean by excusing me or what you are accusing me of excusing me from what exactly? I think perhaps you have said too much . I have chosen to not have a relationship with A spirit and feel totally criticized by you for it. No the devil was literally having me believe he was Holy Spirit...very frightening experience. There is absolutly nothing that can change my mind on it. You can judge and criticise me all you want
