DAY 12 9/3/07
Today I opened the garden gate and invited others in to see my garden.
I showed them the dumpster full of weeds, the piles of manuer, the dry places and the thorny rosebushes. I shared with them the hope I have of this amazing Gardener who has promised to transform my little wasteland into a place of beauty. It wasn't easy to do, I so wanted to have the trellis covered with blooms and the scent of roses greeting them when they arrived. I wanted them to see the fruit trees covered with ripe juicy fruit and the grass like thick green carpet beneath their feet. I didn't want anyone to see it this way. I thought I could do it by myself without help. But they came with their wheelbarrows, their garden gloves, their strength and their charity; and I stood back and looked on in amazement. Now I realize that God's plan was never for me to create the garden on my own at all. And it's such a relief to know I"m not alone.
