Success?
Kinda new to the site... Just some thoughts on today....HE IS RISEN!!!!
By grace we r saved thru faith. Today of all days,,, brings me closer to awe than ever. We r all unique, we all walk our own path, we are wonderfully and beautifully made!!! We ARE God's children. So, am thinking how do u define success? My definition of success is as follows: that we all have our own path to follow, along every path there is road bumps, holes,,, and also so nice rest stops. Obviously the bumps and holes r when we are struggling, sufferring.. the rest stops r exactly that, places of peace along our path. Ok so TRUE success is to continue to walk your path, humbly looking up.. Llke David, who fell as often as he stood and God called him a man after his own heart. I look at myself more of a David person. Bottom line... i am forgiven and saved... my life is not without various issues... but i believe I am on the path.... So, whatcha think of my defiinition of success? GBU... Goldie

I luv it
Isnt it so amazing, how our definition of certain words, and God's definition are soo different?
For the world, sucess means money, fame, how many people know your name, clothes etc.
For God, sucess means fighting the good fight of faith, getting up when we stumble, and having the humble heart of a servant, which we are called to be.
Thank you for sharing goldie
May you continue to grow in Him.
GBU always,
lizzie

Dear Goldie,
Welcome to Oasis! I love your picture of life's path. How true that a successful journey is one in which we're lookin up regardless of where we are on that path.
I was contemplating on Moses and his life... certainly he had to be frustrated in what he thought was his mission to lead the people into the promised land. But when I went back today and read where God told Moses what he was to do... it didn't say He was to leave the people into the promised land at all.. he was told to bring them out of Egypt.
Sometimes God will tell me to take a step and then I assume that because that step led in a certain direction I'm supposed to continue in that direction. Actually God only told me to take that step and then I'm supposed to go back and listen for the next step.
God gave the Israselites the cloud by day and the fire by night, to guide them. His presence went before them. I believe the Bible gives us directions just that clearly to follow Him away from bondage if we can just keep our focus on Him.
