Day 2

Postby jimf » Wed Oct 03, 2012 12:24 pm

Todays lesson really hits home with me. I'm reminded of the words of the philosopher/theologian Gomer Pyle (cousin of Goober) FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON YOU. FOOL ME TWICE, SHAME ON ME. This truly sums up my spiritual life. Higher than a kite and with a garden thats been weeded out and looking good, and then SLOWLY allowing the the weeds to grow back. Spiritual laziness, getting to busy for my quite time with Him, getting offended and withholding forgiveness, criticizing others rather than praying for them. It seems like one weed enters and i ignore it and before long FULL OF WEEDS AGAIN. I end up so disappointed and ashamed of myself AND IT SEEMS TO TAKE TOO MUCH TIME TO GET OVER BEING SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED. Then the process repeats itself all over again. UP- DOWN- UP-DOWN. The down times seem to be longer than they use to be. I'M TIRED OF FAILING, SO PRAY FOR ME TO RECIEVE THE MIRACLE OF THE HEALING PATH.PRAY FOR ME TO KEEP THE WEEDS OUT OF MY GARDEN, AND IF THE LORD LEADS, FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT MY PROGRESS. I NEED ACCOUNTABILITY (and an occasional swift kick).
