Gracious God, when tears fill the spaces of my sad heart, help me lift my eyes upward to see a glimpse of your face.

Lord, I know you have forgiven me for my past mistakes. Your word says that I am forgiven and you do not remember my sins. However, I still carry so much pain. I was responsible for the breakup of my first marriage, which hurt my husband, and my children. This was over 10 years ago. Because of these life choices, I still carry pain inside. I know I'm a new creation in you, because I am no where near the same person I was so many years ago. Help me to feel your love, and peace that only You can give.

Lord, you know I'm in another marriage to a Christian man. But now this man states that he doesn't want to be married to me. Lord, I know you hate divorce, and I want to make it work in this marriage. Help me to be able to act the way that will reconcile me to my husband, and to say supporting words. You know the pain I feel inside -- and thank you because I know you are near. Thank you for loving me and helping me feel your presence through my pain. Continue to shelter me from the hurtful feelings, and help guide my responses.

Lord, thank you for this forum to be able to express my in-most thoughts and needs. You know how I want to be a faithful servant to you more than anything. I ask for your love and guidance. I ask that I be receptive to the support/help that is provided. I ask that I can feel your forgiveness and be free from the shame and guilt from my past sins surrounding my divorce. I feel that I can continue to grow in your love, and be given the words and actions to succeed in this marriage. And, as always, I pray for my children, and am forever thankful for the love and guidance you've shown.

Hi Lynn, *hug*

Oh, I feel your pain, sister in Jesus. *Pray* As you stated that you know God has forgiven you for the things youve done, He has. The battle, however, is in our minds. We tend to listen to the whispers the enemy of our souls continually batters our minds with. Its one thing to say we believe in Christ's free gift of mercy and actually live in the freedom He gave us on the cross. You know that shame and blame dont come from Him. It comes down to believing...choosing to cast down the whispers from the enemy and choosing to trust in what God has said and done, no matter how we feel. No amount of beating ourselves up could ever pay for what weve done. Its not about that...its about who He is and what He's done for us that brings that peace and freedom to walk in His mercy. Let it go, sis. Lay it at the foot of the cross and begin to allow the Holy Spirit speak truth to your soul.

My prayers, as well as prayers from many others are with you. May His perfect peace fill you and His perfect will be done in and through your life.

In Jesus,
love momo
