:( Just got back from getting our youngest son out of jail. This is the second time in a little over a year. He and his gf got drunk and had a fight. She called the police and he was arrested for pushing her against the wall. He is still on probation from his first offense which also involved drinking and acting like an idiot. He is only 21 yrs old. We had to pay over a thousand $$$ to bail him out and $125 to get his car out of impound. We only had $400 in the bank and son only has $150. The guy was nice enough to let us write a check for Tuesday deposit and we have to get the rest from.....somewhere... by Mon.

I feel so defeated right now. My husband and I have done so much to help the boy. I have prayed so hard for him. He is a child of God and he knows how he is supposed to be living. Much of it is a genetic trait because his Dad has the same drinking/anger issues and I have had to deal with them in our marriage. We were just starting to get ahead...I was feeling God blessing us in this family. Now this happens. Why does there always have to be a problem??? I am praying for guidance. *Pray*

*Pray* Please pray for us....and for my son. He is devestated....he knows he may go to jail now and he lost his gf that he was practically living with. He is a mess emotionally. I know God will work this for good...its just hard to see that right now.

Hello SB

Am kind of careful to say glad to see you here , but ... I am .. Truth !

Wow , you have a lot to cover here , though it is sad to see you in this "predicament"/situation that is saddening you as well , but the bottom line is , we cannot be much good to anyone when we find ourselves , for whatever reason , separated from God (too much attention directed toward ourselves and other's "mistakes")

First and foremost we need to get ourselves closer to our Lord -- Seek the Kingdom First -- then and only then we can see to it what we can do for others . As you know , this steps will help you get back on track with our Lord , hence my saying "Glad to see you here " .

As far as your son is concerned , this may even sound "cold" ... but ... again .. Truth . He is 21 , "He knows the difference" but , sad to say , chose different . Reminds me of the times when I put my mother in the same situation myself , knowing that she didn't have to go through that crap I was causing her , just because I wanted to drink ??!!?? , well !

Get yourself together first SB , and let the "Dead burry the Dead"

Luv ya
In Christ , our Lord

Hey sbennet..
I am sorry that you are going through all this. The one thing that came to mind as I read this was the fact that you bailed him out again. Does he know that mom will come to the rescue. Does he know that when I get in trouble mom will bail me out? I know that is your son and it is hard to see him in trouble...but sometimes just them spending a little time in behind bars paying for what they have done will wake them up. We as parents don't want to see our kids in trouble, and when that does happen the parenting instinct kicks in and we want to "help" them.
Maybe some counseling in anger management would help.
You hang on to Jesus during this trial. He is there for you and He will carry you through.
Prayers are going up for you and your family. If anything I said here was offensive I am sorry that was not my intentions. Please forgive me.
Love ya and praying with you
Tam
