resurrection sunday

Postby huelsingbroad » Sat Apr 03, 2010 8:40 pm

i heard it said today that Jesus' death was to pay for our sins, but he rose so we could be assured of that truth.
being a non-custodial parent, i don't get to be as involved in my kids' lives as i would like. i usually spend all holidays with my new inlaws and their customs have become my customs.
i know that my ex is not teaching my children to know and fear GOD. they won't learn of Jesus thru him. what precious time they have to observe my life will only be enough by the grace of GOD.
but tomorrow will be different. rather than sit thru another celebration of family, i will celebrate faith in the risen savior!!
i told my ex i wanted my children here tomorrow afternoon so we can establish at least one tradition. the one that shows Christ is the answer.
we will watch "the passion "and talk about Jesus life, death, and resurrection and what that means. what easter is supposed to be about.
of course my unsaved husband was not happy about having to spend easter with his family without me, but he has no interest in sticking around, so, God will be glorified.
in the end, only those things we do for the kingdom will stand

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

You do exactly what the Lord would have you do sis for those children's souls...may they come to love the Lord as their mother does.

Enjoy your Easter with the Lord sis. He is so worthy of our love and He will bless you.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

Amen...and remember sis, they are His before they are ours..and He knows how to reach them..so dont feel guilty about not having enough time with them. Speak truth into their lives and over their lives and pray for them. Seeds that you dont even know are being planted are being planted, sis. God is amazing...and He loves those children.

Happy and blessed Easter to you and your children, sis. i pray their hearts will be full of Love and Mercy and that the Holy Spirit fills them with His truths. In the name of Jesus.

love momo *Halo*
