A Shocking Change

Postby blessedprincess » Fri Nov 06, 2009 7:52 pm

Eyes filled with tears and a heart that's broken
From undesired actions and hurtful words spoken
Visible scars to show the pain felt inside
Carefully tucked away from public shame, I hide

As each day came, I get up and again I try
And with each passing night again I cry
Everyone around us has something to say
It's nice to know that soon silence will rule the day

Heads will turn and jaws will drop
All the laughing and criticism will stop
They will be like statues frozen in shock
A rocky marriage, now stands firmly on a rock

Not surprising they didn't think we would last
But we held on to each other and not the past
The wind tossed us, but we stood stronger
The storm was long, but our love lasted longer

What we do in the eyes of others may seem strange
But things that are seen are always subject to change
These things had to happen, it was in line with the father's plan
So trust in his judgment, and hold on tightly to his hand

"And I will very gladly spend
and be spent for your souls;
though the more abundantly I love you,
the less I am loved."
(2 Corinthians 12:15)

Yes, Princess, I have been blessed with the correction encouragement
about how the way I may see someone today
can be out-of-date, by tomorrow,
especially since God is able to change any person, at all,
to do better.
So, I should not be holding you or anyone to a perception
I have gotten of you, today or whenever.

"with all lowliness and gentleness,
. . . . . .with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love."

(Ephesians 4:2)

When God wrote this, He knew we would be needing longsuffering
for relating with one another Christians,
because there are times when any of us can be wrong
and needing forgiveness and longsuffering ;)

Thank you sister blessed for sharing your lovely poem with us *hug*

People may say this and that, but it is God's plan that will prevail.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God bless u sister

"Joseph said to them, 'Do not be afraid,
for am I in the place of God?

But as for you, you meant evil against me;
but God meant it for good, in order to
bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.'

And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them."

(Genesis 50:19-21)

This shows how Joseph handled his brothers after they sold Joseph into slavery > after Joseph became a slave in Egypt, Joseph was blessed by God to become manager of the resources of all of Egypt . . . so that during a great famine he had the chance to rescue those brothers and their families from starving to death. Genesis chapters 37-50 tells about this.

People consider this to be a sample example of how when people do things to hurt and cheat us, we with God can use what they do to get special blessing with God and even then to help those people who have tried to put us down.

One example in my life, I would say, is when cable company workers did not give me the service I asked for, I then prayed and got with God in caring about them; then . . . instead of first trying to control them to do what I wanted, I first was being their friend to help and encourage them. So, I could use their troubling me to make me stronger so then I could reach better to them (o:

Or we might have a family member who is a major trouble for us; so we seek people who can help us; and then we find out how good these people are for us, and we want our problem family members to also be blessed through these people like we have been. As I get more with ones in my church, I feel I am getting with ones I would want to trust with people I care about, to help them.
