Brand New Day

Often in the night we sigh
When only God can hear our cry
Our deepest heartfelt prayers take wing
When there's nothing but our faith to bring

Those things we gained, are what we lose
And still life makes it hard to choose
While in our grief and through our pain
When we lose is really when we gain

Oh gentle Spirit stay with me
And show me things that I can't see
And lead me in this brand new day
With all its many shades of gray

I listen for that still small voice
To guide me through my every choice
It brings me to a thankful knee
Then lets me know that I have been set free

So let our grateful voices sing
Songs of praise for our great King
We listen to the angels calling
Then join their love song's rise and falling
