I suppose if you are thinking of going to see the guy, you could send him some messages and things to show your attitude, etc., and intentions. And doing this could help you see how you are developing about this, then maybe go once you can tell you are better ready to be creative for God's purpose, and not only for your own accountability about if you forgive or not, etc.

And then the forgiving could be more personal and relating, to go with how you have started by mail, e-mail, even phone . . . and communicating through the chaplain, of course, if he's a Spirit-filled guy who can be helping Bob come to know Jesus > then it is not only about your own issue of forgiving and your own healing and relief, but you are with other Christians for God's whole purpose of good.

It may not be the same thing, but I have had ideas about what people meant behind things they said, and I'd get all paranoid about them rejecting me and talking without letting me know what they have been saying. But I noticed how I was not in beautiful pure peace while I was like this; so I waited for God to get me in prayer and peace, then see what I was thinking and considering. And *then* I have asked people what was such and such about, and I've been quite surprised by their answers, by letting people speak for themselves > things I don't think they could have just made up, so fast ;) not to mention, I would not let them know I had had suspicions . . . I'd just clear and simple ask, that thing you said . . . what was that about?
