have you ever stopped to watch birds?

Copied from my blog...
I was sitting on the front porch today..... and i watched birds land on dandelions. You heard me..
LAND.
On Dandelions.
I'm dead serious.
The birds would fly over, grap the stem of a dandelion with their tiny bird feet, and attempt to land on it. Usually the birds were too big. (Or the dandelions were too small...) and the poor dandelions would tip right over and the birds would end up in the grass. And the birds would either sit there on top of the poor dandelions... or they would get off and tromp around in the grass a little bit like they totally meant to do that. And then they would look around like "Yeah, nobody saw that.... Its all good."
But one bird did actually pull it off. The bird was TINY, much smaller than the other birds, and it chose a particularly large dandelion that could hold its weight. It flew over, grabbed the stem with its itty bitty feet, and the dandelion DIDN'T tip over, it stayed upright! And the bird just hung there..... sideways.... on the dandelion.. like nobody's business.
Some of God's creatures amaze me!
"Find joy in the tiny things, even if its just a lady bug crawling across the window."
Philippians 4: 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. ESV
