I have been reading that many believe the events going on in the world, are signs of the "END OF THE WORLD"

They mentioned ... Ebola, Wicked Weather, Isis, etc.

Anyone have any thoughts, beliefs or Biblical evidence for or against the beliefs of those who think these are signs of the End?

I do believe that the end, as we know it, is near. When I read the 24th Chapter of Matthew, or the Book of Revelation, and numerous other Books of the Bible and the prophecies of what many refer to as The End Times, the similarities are so dramatic that it is difficult to come to any other conclusion.

I'm looking forward to reading other member's thoughts.

I think these things could be a sign of he end of the world but they've all happened before and the world still hasn't ended. The bubonic plague wiped out a third of Europe, millions of people died in the second world war and 'bad weather' has been around since time began.

Personally I think we have a while to go yet. :D

I read that MANY Christians stopped believing after 2000 and 2012 ...

The "End" did not happen at those times soooooooooooooooooooooo ... Must not be real.

There is so much you have to look at to come to a good clear understanding in determining
if the tribulation time is near or not. You have scripture to decipher but not just scripture.
You need to look at mankind in it's self and look at the changes in people in the recent past
good and bad. You also have to look at the natural signs that God provided that is out side
of man kind such at the stars and the way they line up with scripture and you begin to get
a very intriguing picture of the very likely near future.

As it is shared by Jesus when speaking of the End in Matthew chapter 24 ...

Verse 33 and 34 ... So likewise ye, when ye shall see ALL these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled.

We are to watch for ALL of what our Lord shared.

And the generation which beholds ALL these things will be the generation who sees the "End" ...

Interesting how He said the word "Generation" ... As if ALL these things would occur within or Over the span of a specific generation.

One could imagine that many back in the early Church days, (And some Christians who read these words even today) believe(d) the words "THIS Generation" meant that the generation they were in then when Jesus spoke the words "THIS GENERATION would not pass until these things happened. When it did not happen in that generation, many who misinterpreted the words ... May have doubt(ed).

Proper Interpretation is everything, aint it?

Verse 36 is the most important message as to avoid being caught up in the "Dating game" ...

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only.

God's Word gives us what we need to maintain our Faith.

Oh I love when the family of Christ discusses His future blessings for us!!!!! Excites me!

Our hearts can get so heavy that the longing of His return can feel like our only hope. I must feel that way daily. His coming is not our only hope! Through His spirit we have help to over come the struggles with in us. He's so amazing like that!

May you feel peace as we watch with out fear! A lot of wacky things going on.

Mans guesses on the timing has come and gone many times. Some loose faith. Gotta keep our lamps lit. His word is truth. He never fails us. We may see things get much much worse or He may spare us from this world very shortly.

Sad thing though. My college math instructor started discussing over population with me. He shared with me how we shouldn't have more than one child because (and he did the math) in so many years we will be able to cover the world with humans side by side 12 feet high. So he began to speak as if we could take half the humans today and begin on Mars and in so many years (he did the math again) the earth and Mars would be 12 feet high of humans. The entire time I was thinking of the equation he is missing is Gods return. That though was void with in this very brilliant man. Sad! He said he hopes we can speak again about such things as how to solve this problem. I am eager to slip in the fact that both Christians and Muslims are awaiting their Messiah who will rescue us.

I know only one is the Messiah and the other the antichrist. Who MUST be already walking this earth.

The temple is getting close to being built which will unleash Armageddon. Yet this has been in process for many years. The Muslims know if the Jews pray in the temple for Christ to return He will return as they (Muslims and Jews alike) know this is a very Holy place. I am not certain we are watching for the correct temple as we are now Gods Holy Temple. I will be excited to see how God plays this out.

What is very very very exciting is how God is turning Muslims to Him through DREAMS! I love it I love it I love it!!!! How awesome is our God, Jesus Christ.

I been watching this thread and pondering what i thought/felt about this... so in a nutshell. i think it matters in that we are to live as if this is the last day we have in this life. Can you imagine how many Christians and Non-Christians would be changed by this if everyone adopted this viewpoint and strove to serve and honor Him as we should ?( not saying i am successful as this,, just throwing my thoughts out is all) Well lemme bottom line this and see how confused this sounds.... on the one hand i believe the end is near in that it has been since Jesus was crucified. I also believe that God is not bound by time as we know it so a second to Him could be 10,000 years for us... I am reminded that it is my hope that at the end of my life i can say i finished and ran a good race.... as a result, how many lives were changed as a result of me letting go of Me and letting God have control so as to glorify Him....... in the end.... we should live each day as if it were our last day as we never know if tomorrow will come in the way we think of tomorrow now... ok well idk if that made any sense at all... but these are what came to mind and heart after pondering this a few times over the past few days.
