The anchor Holds

As I woke this morning I was flood by issues and problems that demand immediate attention. As for the last few months they are issues and problems that I have no tools or answer for. So they sit like a storm brewing into hurricane strength. I can see this happening which causes a clamp down on my joy and praise. So instead of watching these storms brew and increase in strength. I chose to revert my attentions to praise and worshiping. Not sit here and call out to God..."OH Lord I am going under and where are you?" I kind of felt like the disciples on the water and Jesus asleep. OH me of little faith!
Well I know that little faith is enough to see my through. ( like a"mustard seed") so i took that mustard seed and began to water it with with praise and worship.
I pulled out my oldies the songs that touch me right down in the middle of my spirit. And I wanted to share it with you all. To encourage you and for you to know your not alone in the storms you are facing.

I have a story to tell you that goes alone with my thoughts today as well

There were some college boys who went to flordia to spent spring break there. They had rented a house boat on the water. And the first day was great but then reports came in that a hurricane was targeted to hit right where they were. So the guys got busy. They went and bought tape and boards and ropes to tie down the house boat. Being men they thought it would be exciting to ride out the storm. So they taped up and boarded up and with the ropes they had bought they tied that house boat down to every tree that was close enough to the boat to tie down to. a good 6 or 8 trees they had tied to. They looked at their handy work and patted each other on the back for they felt their little house boat was so well anchored down it could face a 200 mile an hour storm!
Just as they were start to walk up the plank and enter the house boat an old sailor was passing by. They waved at him and was wondering why he was shaking head and smiling. So they asked: "what do you think Of our anchoring down.
The old sailor respond and said: "Well boys I'll be keeping ya in my prayers tonight, for you want be here in the morning."
He said: "You boys didn't pay attention to what your anchored to. A good wind come through here and it's gonna up root them trees over there that your anchored to. And it's good night Irene for you boys"
The guys were dumb founded that they did not see that fact. so they said: "What should we do then?" The old sailor said: "Well you should high tail it to high ground with a strong shelter! " "That would be using the sence God gave ya." "Being you boys have misplaced the sence God gave ya, I'd say to take them anchors on the boat there and throw them over and anchor deep." "And then I go on in and anchor my self down, you boys may get toss and thrown around a bit. but your anchored deep and should weather alright through the storm." " You boys are in for a night you have fun now and I'll be praying God will remember your young and have misplaced your common sence and he has mercy on ya tonight."

The jest of this story is: Ask your self what you are anchored to? If your anchored to your problems a strong can come by and you'll be up rooted. whatever it may be, pay attention and make sure you are anchored deep To JESUS your savior.

This is the song I have listened to all morning it is my victory song!
The anchor Holds:
I have journeyed through the long dark night
Out on the open sea
by faith alone
Sight unknown
and yet His eyes were watching me

CHORUS

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The ancor holds
In spite of the storm

I've had visions,
I've had dreams
I've even held them in my hand
But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sands

CHORUS
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
i have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I have been young
But I am older now
and there has been beauty
These eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that's where God proved
His love to me

Chorus
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
in spite of the storm.

I hope in some way this has reached some one today that is facing their own storms.
