Re: Hell a real place?
Certainly, well right off the bat there is something unbiblical..
The author states:
"As shocking as it may sound to those who have absorbed the world's conventional understanding, the Bible teaches that when people die, they remain dead until the resurrection. "
This is not true. The author speaks of the Apostle Paul it is him whom i shall quote...
Php 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Why is it a gain to die? what is Paul looking forward to?
Php 1:22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
Php 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Why is it far better to depart and die? if all that happens is we die and wait in some sleep for the ressurection why is Paul so torn between staying and leaving now? what Paul is in a hurry to go sleep till the ressurection? wouldnt that just happen anyway when he eventualy dies?
Paul again---
2Co 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Paul is saying he would rather be dead and gone and be with the Lord..The word he uses is "present" this means to be in the Lords presence not some soul sleep awaiting the ressurection. Paul is not talking about a far off experience after death but rather an immediate in front of right into the presence of God.
the author states:
"Paul used sleep as a metaphor for death. "But surely," you may be thinking, "there must be some sinners right now being tormented in eternal hellfire?" The Bible's answer, you may be surprised to discover, is: Absolutely not!
Yes, as we will see later, Scripture explains that incorrigibly wicked sinners will be thrown into a lake of fire after the White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:14–15; 21:8). Your Bible calls this eternal punishment (not eternal punish-ing) the "second death"—the final death from which there is no future resurrection. But who goes to that eternal punishment, and when? As we will see later in this article, no one has yet experienced this punishment—and it may apply to fewer people than you expect! "
Absolutley a 100% false...unbiblical. The author forgets that Hell is cast into the Lake of Fire
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
whose in hell when its cast into the lake of fire? appraently the author thinks the place is empty..I assure you its not..
Take Jesus story about Lazarus
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Read that story its not long but Jesus clearly tells about a rich man who went to hell. If noone goes into hell then this story by Jesus is kinda pointless dont ya think?
author says--Your Bible calls this eternal punishment (not eternal punish-ing) in referencing Revelation..it is eternal punishment thats what forever and ever means..Folks in hell then cast with satan into the lake of fire will do what?
shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
This could not be more clear.
the author says---As we will see later in this article, no one has yet experienced this punishment—and it may apply to fewer people than you expect!
Is that right? not what Jesus said
Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
This is the opposite of what this auther is suggesting it is completly wrong unbiblical and goes directly against what Jesus clearly said and taught.
there is so more to dissect by this author would take alot alot of time ..i would suggest you reject this author. This author is 100% completley wrong and unbiblical..its as clear as the nose on your face ..anyhow hope what little i did helps you in your study..God bless.
