My two sons applied for jobs yesterday. Simple jobs like dish washing and ski lift somethingernother. lol

I just feel like we are just hanging out there flopping like a fish out of water when it comes to my kids jobs. My husband and I are still carrying nearly 100% the bulk despite having 2 adult children in the house. It's very burdensome. Our health is going down hill and we both need to slow down before we crash.

I'm hoping to finish college this fall and be able to transition to a different job. At first it may cause more burden on us so I really need my adult kids to become self reliant.

It's funny most are sad their kids leave the nest. I really don't want my kids to leave, just to carry their portion of the burden. *dunno*

Anyhow, not to burden you. But if you feel led to lift just a small prayer up for this I'd appreciate this. :)

I told my daughter that I would never kick her out. But I'd kick out her stuff. That one day she'd come home and it would be gone. That she needed to pay rent. And she moved out quickly - which actually wasn't what I wanted. I wanted her to go to school. Oh well. However, she currently owns her own home and car, and supports herself and her two kids. And she does have a degree now. So, it turned out well if not the way I intended.

Did that with husband's son too. Same results.

"I always love you. And I want you to be safe. But I need for you to grow up. So I cannot make it easy on you. If you stay here, it will be with one suitcase unless you pay rent."

And of course don't give them money. If they need gas to find a job, buy them a gas gift card. No money at all. Ever.

Why should you buy a cow if you get the milk for free. Cows crap and things like that. rofl Who wants to shovel that?

I figured on getting a storage room for $30 a month. But the thirty days notice took care of things. No storage place needed. Oh, and I imagine you are giving them more than $30 a month because they want to go out with friends - cut that out! If they don't work, neither should they eat - well, of course you are going to feed them. But they can eat with you at home if they don't work.

Hugs. *hug5*
