Understanding The Book of Proverbs

Postby saint701 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 7:33 pm

Hi All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Hope you got the rest that you needed. The Lord had me take the day off from posts and stuff and just bask in His Glow in Proverbs. Found the Tree of Life mentioned in the Book of Revelation toward the last chapter a few days ago and noticed The Tree of Life was referred to as "she." The other day the Lord had me sit down and read some of Proverbs and there wisdom had the name the tree of life and was referred to as "she." Of course the tree of life is first mentioned as one of the trees in The Garden of Eden. I always thought of that tree being Jesus as Adam and Eve represent the world that will not eat of Him, but prefer the wisdom of this world represented in the tree of knowledge of good and evil because they thought it would make them wise.

In the Book of Revelation we see the Tree of Life bearing 12 different kinds of fruit. What I have been discovering in Proverbs is the revelation of Christ being our wisdom as presented by Paul in the first few chapters of Corinthians..this is cool stuff..will give you a few scriptures. Point of what the Lord has been showing me is that Proverbs actually describes our life in Christ and Proverbs truly is full of wisdom and understanding in the Revelation of Him..Proverbs isn't about the wisdom of Solomon, it is about the Wisdom of God.

Corinthians 1:18
[ Christ the Wisdom and Power of God ] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:24
but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
