Prayer Request for a friend

Postby Hope » Sat Aug 03, 2013 9:55 pm

Hi everyone

I wanted to ask for prayer for a friend of mine who had to move away from the "man of her dreams" due to living in another country and having seizures. She has been going through a very rough time with the seizures not being under control. Today i learned that the man she loves has been diagnosed with some type of leukemia with a life expectancy given of 6-12 months and that he is apparently in the advanced stages of this illness.

I would like to ask for those who feel led to pray for these people that they might find comfort in God's embrace during such trying and heartbreaking times for them

Thank you and GBU all

Matthew 11:28, 29
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Dear Lord,

We pray for your comfort and strength in this hour of need.
Let this couple and their loved ones know your presence.
Amen

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

from Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble...
Therefore we will not fear...
Be still, and know that I am God...
